We have the Mondo's, the Omar's, the Griese's, etc. To be honest, there are a number of posters here who I believe to be more knowledgeable, and a better read, than some who do it for a living. I do really like Barry Jackson and Kimbo, who are almost always on the money in giving info, as well as fair opinions. Who are everyone else's favorites?
I do like Darlington as well. I give Jackson an edge. I look forward to his "BUZZ" every week, which I cannot say about any of the others. I would like to read more of him in the Herald.
I'm gonna go off script a bit, not so much picking favorites, but I must say team's The Finsiders show is actually pretty good. Kimbo is on there quite a bit and he drops knowledge, along with Keith Sims. Barry Jackson isn't on the beat, but his Buzz is required reading. I also like Darlington because while he doesn't carry a 'blog' so to speak, he doesn't make things about him like some of the other guys do. That's the mark of a guy with national aspirations IMO (which he'll eventually achieve). That and he keeps his own website. Joe Rose is another who's good when he's talking football on his show.
These guys are excellent, along with Darlington. And I'm almost embarrassed to say this, but I really like Omar, especially his Tweets. Guy is honest, and he's more knowledgable than people give him credit for over the long haul. He also answers more Twitter questions than anyone, which scores points for me. Answers my questions (and a ton of others) all the time. 'Mando has his moments, but then he also goes off the deep end w/ the criticism sometimes, and that often turns me off. Not that I can't handle bad news, but he seems to make mountains out of mole hills sometimes, and loves to pile on.
I wasn't including former players , but I too really like Keith Sims . Like that he isn't afraid to criticize when he feels it warranted , and boy , he did that last game for the Oline , which he knows just a bit about.
I know one person who can't stand "Barry Jackass". Can't stand him. But that comes more from a workplace thing.
Really wish I coulda heard that. Only this week did I learn we now have a Tampa affiliate on the Dolphins Radio Network. Sims is good on the pre and postgame shows too. He'd have been a great fit in the the spot that went to Griese. Exactly. The king of the commercial segway is pretty insightful when he gets into it. You hear it a lot of times when they do the Dan Marino show Monday mornings.
I say that Dan Marino on cbs should qualify for media, if not ok, but i enjoy listeing to Dan but the cbs guys always block him from giving the phins praise. and nobody at fox likes the fins so i dont have a favorite there Jeff D. is my media person Jim Mandich as aannoucer was the best but Phil Simms is good . the problem is the writers seem ok just not that dumb *** who wrote the phins record the otherday is horible.

I always look forward to Jackson's Sports Buzz. For radio-TV sure miss Mad Dog, he was the best. Joe Rose is very good though.
