The cool extra is after looking at that video is all the related video links showing Peyton Hillis trucking this dude or that dude. Pollard and Meriweather to name a couple. Out of many dumb moves, trading Hillis may have been McDaniels' worst.
Didn't he also give up a 1st rounder to take Alphonso Smith in the 2nd round (who's now a Lion)? And the 1st rounder spent on Demaryius Thomas to replace Brandon Marshall has really worked out. lol.
Yeah, then after one year traded him to Detroit for Dan Gronkowski who was also cut recently. The Lions had drafted Gronkowski 255th overall in 2009. Then they get to trade him for Smith before the 2010 season. That also ranks up there for stupid. Smith was a guy I liked a lot. Pure cover skills he and DJ Moore who is now with the Bears were my favs from that draft. Who else ever gave up on a 2nd round corner, essentially a 1st, after one season?? Demaryius Thomas is a player I really liked. He was worth his draft status imo. Cannot predict injuries and he may be able to come back 100%. Not many guys can equal McDaniels for so many stupid trades in such a short time
