I'm with a CBS keeper pool that has an injury list option. So, I kept Manning from last year, and it is common knowledge now that he's out for the year. I emailed my commish asking if I can pick up another player, stash Manning on the injury list so I don't have to drop anybody. He then sends a global email explaining the good question he got, and stated that regardless, you have to drop a player. WTF is the injury list for! F! Now I have to stash Manning till next year and drop some a player. Not a big deal since we have 20 on our roster, but I like my depth with a few potential break out players. SMH
Yeah seems weird. Why have a roster allotment and a injury list if the injured guy is counted on the roster ? LOL SAY THAT 5 TIMES. What has been the history in the league with other teams with injured players?
With teams that deep no one has ever put a player on the injury list? Can ya PM the other teams? Im kinda new to FF but that seems weird or a misunderstanding Good luck. PS: since you have done this before ya got any tips for me not to watch the waiver wire like a freak when im drinking lol
I'm not that seasoned when it comes to FF. This is my third season overall, and second year in this keeper. My advice is keep an eye on injuries, and see if there are any back ups that you can claim in anticipation of injuries. For example, Mendenhall had something like 400 carries last year during the PIT run to the SB. A lot of people are now questioning his durability for the season, making Isac Redman a good option if he's available. This Cobb guy from GB last night, make a claim on him and drop a late round pick you really aren't comfortable with. Stay alert is the best advice I can give.
Manning is not officially out for the year. hes getting re-evaluated in 6-8 weeks and could be back in time for the last 4-5 games of the regular season aka the fantasy playoffs. But yes I am pissed too. I have him in my $150 pay league. Lucky I have an adequate starter in Cutler in reserve but still not Peyton. ###Pissed as all hell!
I feel your pain. I've got Manning in a keeper league that ended up winning last year. I've got Matt Cassell as a reserve, but still ...
Mine's a $250 league, but I did take Josh Freeman in the fourth this year. Good option I believe, and his bye week is 8. Not gonna make moves until week 5 or 6, unless I hear otherwise sooner, like PM is goin on IR. There are a few starter free agents, but not many. I'm screwed if Freeman goes down. EDIT: Just checked, it was round 5 I took Freeman in.
Just do it anyway and if the commish starts some ****, riot. It worked for me several years ago in a similar situation.
