They are giving me nothing to believe in... Our top 6 defense is suddenly bottom 6. Our oline is not giving our offense a chance. Can't give Henne time, can't open up holes. Missing chip shot field goals. Right when I think I don't have to worry about nolan carroll for the rest of the season because we sign will allen, there he is in playing man to man with andre johnson with no safety deep. Vontae is suppose to be on Andre. But he finds some way to puss out of the game. We have the Jets twice, Patriots, Eagles, the 2-0 Bills who is good for a win a season against us, the fast raiders, and the talented cowboys, all on our schedule. I don't know how we're gonna turn this around. I just know this much. When we have our defense at full strength meaning Vontae Clemons and Dansby not out, they are a top 6 d as we seen last year, even though that seems hard to believe in so far... Henne seems to have come into his own and looks like a legit starting QB in this league and is doing well dealing with the crappy pass blocking Reggie cant run the ball for ****, but we seem to have found our running game with Daniel Thomas. Dan Carpenter was once the heart and soul of this team. So every phase of this team has shown to be capable. They just havent all been working together at the same time. Every game there always a problem- Henne messing up, run game non existant, d giving up big plays... They need to show they can all get it together and function as a whole I just think based on schedule...Our season is over. 0-2 out the gates and the problems keep piling up.
they are not making the playoffs. said that many times. ppl keep saying this D is top 5, but they sure as hell werent top 5 in pts allowed last year. to me thats one of the few stats that matters. that and how many times your D gets off the field on 3rd down.
That, IMO falls on the coaching... That's all I'd like to say about that. I agree though, It doesn't get any easier on us as the schedule unfolds. This team is capable I feel, they just need to put it all together. Which for 3 years and counting under Sparano has been a very difficult task for some reason.
I'll bet the next head coach wins a lot with this squad. It's a good roster and Sparano's staff has developed some good players. I think the talent is there, but this regime has been stubborn about certain positions (Safety, RT), insisting they had good players there when it's now apparent those are weak spots. Tony, unfortunately, looks on his way to lose his job.
I said it last year and nothing they did in the off season made me believe different.I do believe we will fire our coach and end up once again with a nice high first rounder next year if you want to look at it that way.
It would be so nice to have one side of the ball or the other settled, without question marks. There are so many areas with question marks that it makes you wonder, why can't they get it right? The Dolphins have talented players but there is something wrong some place.
You never know, I say it could be a case of life imitating Sun Life Stadium. Think about how nice it will be to see the entire field be green, not with sod but just one complete field. Three more weeks and I won't have to shake my head every time I look at that crap playing surface. This team just may find some cohesiveness by then as well.
