Marshall performed well through that last season in Denver, even with the idiot McDaniels riding him like a rented mule. So imagine how much worse this situation has to be for him to be showing cracks in his game over it.
I'm lumping Marshall together with T.O., 85 and Moss. Another bunch of head cases where they are as good as there are if everything is all hunky dory. as soon as some adversity strikes, they all pull into their shells.
This is the only play that I might be able to cut him some slack on. He did have to look directly into the sun for that ball. That is evident by the shadow on the ground. Not making excuses, just saying.
Long has been struggling, to be sure. But Marc Columbo committed grand larceny when he signed with us. That dude has been beyond putrid.
i think that is too strong of a characterization. he is clearly unstable. i just think he is too subject to being influenced by his environment. imo, if this team was playing better, we wouldnt be seeing his poor play of course, this can be a chicken or egg thing. if he catches those passes in the end zone, if he converts that 3rd down play early in the 2nd half and that deep pass yesterday...one can argue that we may have won a game or two. idk, i just think cancer is far too strong. the extent to which anyone even pays attention to the guy is unknown. for all we know, his teammates might think he is a basket case and nobody listens to a word he says
in retrospect, he would have been better served sitting out the first few games. im not worried about him at all hell the entire team wasnt ready to start the season. we are going to give a guy a hard time for just barely being able to be cleared to start playing? he hardly even practiced

It is insane to even hint that Brandon Marshall has played anywhere near the level that Long has in their careers in Miami. Long has played at a Pro Bowl level every year he's been here, until this injury year. Marshall did not play at a Pro Bowl level last year and isn't this year so far. Many players play great on one team and suck on another. How good Marshall has played somewhere else means less to me than how he's played here.
I love it how Jake Long gets a pass for being a piece of crap along with the rest of the pieces of crap on this team. Jake Long has been...BAD. Not even average...just BAD. Colombo has spread his disease.
