I get that he is old and sh*t happens when you get up there in years. That said, this is sad to see. He couldn't walk on the field yesterday and has a cane.
Odd, I saw Marino and Shula in some weight loss commercial a while back. "Hey, I'm Don Shula. Look at me. I lost 30 pounds and feeling better than ever!"
Despite his immortality, it's hardly uncommon for an 80 year old. The wheels of a golf cart are far more dignified than those on a walker.
I'll take him coaching on a cart with that cane over whats going on now. Hell I'd take Vince Lombardi's bones over whats going on now.
At least he's being driven this time... He still has to work on the cart though... no cooler!?!?! That's not a golf cart...
I know he had knee and ankle issues (achilles) years back ,I guess they just finally caught up with him. Still doing good for 81 though <<<<<< --------------
He's been spooked ever sense a certain incident while putting an envelope in a mail box..............
That's probably it. He was on his feet for a lot of his life. And those leg type things certainly catch up with you at that age.
I am surprised we dont have atleast one "OL Upgrade" statement and we are 14 posts into this thread.... Shula would still be top 3 OL option after Long and Pouncey....amiright?
Wow, a bit harsh for an 82 yr old man, don't you think ?? Even an ex coach ?? I think he deserves a bit of a break here, Cane...
could you imagine...HEADLINE...Ross convinces Shula to coach out the rest of the season''...lol... my goodness would that be fun...
The popemobile with the bullet proof plexiglass? Shula doesn't need assassination protection. Guess the pope ain't so sure God is protecting him.
