Watched all 3 making dagger shots Sect, thought Griffen is way overrated, but CP/Billups/Williams..they have something working there.

Padre, Billups is on his last legs, made some horrific plays in that game, and will be a corpse come playoff time. Mo Williams is a terrible basketball player.

and Blake Griffin is a beast. Nothing overrated about him.

Saw what I saw Sect, Billups was the same clutch/4th qtr he always was, in fact Billups and Williams kept CP3 on the bench and they did not miss him.

They brought CP3 in of of the bench, and he hit a couple of 18 footers along with Billups creating contact and GSW's run was just stopped.

As for Griffin, heh, make him put the ball on the floor and he is a non factor Sect.

You have the right to be wrong Padre. This was Golden State they were playing. An entertaining team that first heard the word "defense" when Mark Jackson was hired.

And Griffin has as good a handle for a PF in all of the NBA.

He puts the ball on the floor, he is to slow to deal with the double team.

As for being wrong, long season, you have the complete ability to be wrong as well Sect.

Not really. Not on this one.

Billups was 6-19 yesterday and you are somehow impressed by that. He was a disaster. Chauncey Billups taking 19 shots is the real tell tale sign though. That would be like Mario Chalmers taking 19 shots. it is all kinds of ridiculous.

Thing with Billups Sect, is he hits them when it counts.

As I've said, it's a long season, we'll revist this and see who did what by April or May.

Griffin overrated? Really? The only forwards I would take over Blake Griffin would be Howard for sure, and maybe Aldridge, Stoudemire, and Love. I'm not even sure on the last three.

Really surprised me to, he'd get the ball down in the paint, and then the double would come or he'd lose the handle on the ball.

I expected to see an exploive guy who could jump out of the gym..didn't happen., and this was with David Lee on him.

As a PF, in value, only Kevin Love is on par. On talent, and overall skill, Chris Bosh and Lamarcus Aldridge is right there. Amare's injury issues keep his value low.

How is Blake griffin overrated? Seriously? He's at worst the 2nd best big in the league after Howard and I'm not even sure about that. Name the last rookie to average 22ppg and 12rpg? You can't because it hasn't happened. Not shaq not Olajuwon not Ewing not Robinson not Duncan, no one in the last 40 years

Yep, offensively he is very crude B14, he'll score plenty of points on lobs etc, his game is very raw overall tho.

And there is a dirty little secret in the NBA, when you are the teams only scoring option...guess what?

I won a night of free booze back in the day making a bet with a bar tender about how well Elton Brand would do in the NBA as a rookie due to that little fact.

Get real with this Blake Griffin overrated nonsense. Once he develops a consistent jumper, and he will, possibly even out to the 3 point line, he will be unstoppable. He's already near unstoppable as it is.

And that to me is the question with him, a lot of times in the NBA you get these physical freak types who just do it on explosiveness but they never develop the other parts of their games and when they lose that step they become Tracy McGrady.

Howard is such a beast he may not have to, Shaq had nothing for yrs and still dominated.

Griffin is a workout warrior though, so hopefully it happens for him as he probably will need to sooner or later.

And you think Howard's game is refined? Howard gets his points off pure athleticism and strength. Theyre both similar players but I think Griffin has a chance to have a more refined game based on the fact he has more touch to his shot.

As for the teams only scoring option...You can make a strong argument that both players suffer from that lack of secondary and tertiary scoring options. Obviously the addition of CP3 alleviates that for Griffin but not last year when only Eric Gordon and Mo Williams was counted on to help.

Its considered his rookie season because he never played a minute of regular season action the year before. Thats why he won ROY.

Not at all, if anything Howard is now in the "hack a shaq" zone, a player whose physical talent is so great that they never really develop into a complete player.

As for Griffin, the point is when all you have is Griffen, you get him the ball..period.

Team adds talent, his number of chances declines but the team improves overall.

This sort of the lesson of Iverson and Arenas imo, when they were the guy they took a huge volume of shots.

Oh sure, but keep in mind the playoffs are all about scoring when you have to, and making free throws.

DH will never be confused with Hakeem or Duncan in the paint.

Wizards managed to blow a 20+ point lead today to the Nets...

Watching that T'Wolves game now. Beasley looks great- I really miss having him in Miami. Him and Love together are just awesome. Kevin Durant is making the Wolves defense look nonexistant however, he is dominating.

I agree with you Sec. I never understood how he could win ROY when he wasn't actually a rookie (I understand the NBA classified him as a rookie, I just don't see why they do it).

Because he had a full year to develop his body and learn the NBA game. He had an unfair advantage over the other real rookies.

No 2010 is the year he was drafted. If you dont play a game though you cant be a rookie. I mean he wasnt even able to play in the NBDL that year.

And thats different than if he had stayed in school for another year how? I mean when you say develop his body all he really was able to do was rehab his busted knee.
