You're welcome GIK. Watch. It'll come down to that pick.. me vs GIK in the final two. Everybody goes goo goo over Fleener. But I already had Scheffler. And I wasn't going to take another TE before getting a 2nd WR.
Now to argue against taking a 29 year old qb in Brandon Weeden at 33/34... by the time the expansion team is competitve, Weeden will be ironically 33 or 34 years old. Certainly if you've ignored the offensive / defensive lines. ....
Stephen Hill is a very interesting prospect. He'll take a few years just like his predecessor Demaryius Thomas, but the guy is dripping with potential if he can minimize those the WTF drops IMO.
I agree. NT wasn't my first preference, but Poe was sitting there so I was like "sure, why not". lol.
Can I tell you guys, I was finally able to ditch Turner Cable and switch to satellite (now that I have line of sight)..... and it's so nice to finally have NFL Network. I've been lovin their shows, especially the HOF specials. It annoys me I've been deprived for the past few years. The current one about the history of racial integration is pretty good.
Poe wasnt really on my radar with that pick. It was Crick all the way. I dont know how hes rated in the mid 50's..I can only hope he lands out of the division. As for Hill, he's not as good as Thomas imo but still a very good prospect. Thomas was the 2nd ranked receiver over the last 7 weeks for fantasy football. Some down games (consistency is an issue due to QB play) but now that hes over the injury issues I hes in my good graces again. I picked him 2nd round 2 years ago in a keeper league with a certain sports writer...looks like I was right even if it took some time.
I figured you were going with either Poe or Crick. yeah, I'm not sure why he's in the 50's either. I think we should bump the available players for each round up 4 spots to allow for margin of error since guys fall all the time. Instead of players ranked 94+ for round 3, it would be players 90+. Just an idea. Sucks to have a certain UNC WR & Oregon RB off the table when they very well could fall a few spots in a real draft. just sayin.
Trying to keep the wait to a minimum...my pick is in  Crick is my #2 DE after Coples but #1 for a 3-4 open end position. You will either love or hate my next pick. Love cause its a clemson guy, hate cause its probably a player you wanted
I'm glad you took Allen b/c he's someone I shouldn't be drafting if I'm of sound mind based on Zach Miller & Casey.
Wait a minute, why does Round 3 start with players ranked 95+ when Round 3 would normally start with pick #69 (in a 34 team league). That's what- 25 guys removed from the 3rd round before we even start it? Would anyone else prefer to have only the left-over undrafted players ranked up to #68 removed? I think it's a glitch in the game to have to overdraft a potential late 3rd-4th round guy with the first pick of the 3rd round. Look at the players we'd miss out on who are rated as 3rd rounders according to nfldraftscout (in no particular order): Burflict, Isaiah Pead, Markelle Martin, Marcus Forstan, Cousins, Dwight Jones, LaMichael James to name a few.
which is ironic because Boik has both of those players as well, yet that didn't deter him from drafting Allen.
because schisno gave us an extra second round pick to make up for not having a high first... and then is resuming the late picks in each round schedule. So we got the extra picks at the top of round 2... now we have a long wait until the end of round three. Since I can't trade down...
Well I could get my 6th or 7th ranked wr or my 1st ranked TE. Easy call imo, especially since either Miller or Allen can flex out 3 yards and create a 1-1 matchup outside.
If a franchise team without a high first is given an extra 2nd rounder as a compensation pick, why would you then handicap said franchise team by taking away their 3rd rounder? Considering players were already removed before our 2nd round started (b/c of the #33/#34 picks), and considering three of of us didn't get our initial 2nd round pick until #40 or after, I think it's fair to begin round 3 where round 3 normally begins. Why constrict it when we don't have to? As it is we won't have enough players to field a full football team unless we have a handful of 2 way players. But hey, I'll go along with Schis and whatever you guys want. It's still fun and I commend & appreciate Schis for the great job he's done thus far.
I was looking to solidify my defensive front 3 from the get go, so I was either taking Crick or Reyes, but leaning toward Reyes's upside so it worked out for me. Now my front 3 is: Ray Mcdonald___ Poe_____ Reyes...... with Karl Klug subbing in during nickel and getting a shot at 34DE.
I have Klug and Crick at DE and NT to be determined. I like Crick a ton a 3-4 open end....he can be another Richard Seymour/Aaron Smith 8-10 sack type and good vs the run.
Thanks buddy. I know I'm ignoring some other enticing players but I made a plan and tried to stick to it. I don't know how Rivers will do in a 34, but with him playing weakside LB in Cincy, I'm hoping he can slide into WILB next to Daryl Washington. ??????
