Mods if you think Iam going overboard, I'am sorry.. There is a thread out there that's shows you in a negative light.."only 30,000".... Only thirty thousand my ***, you are the best fans ever man, true Dolfans thru it all, lol, let me tell ya something you badass mother grabbers, you are gonna have a great freakin time in that stadium, just please do me one favor, get the attention of your team, even though there will be more fans of the other team in the building, let them know you are there, and you ain't going nowhere baby, Create your own movement, they will notice you, and that will be worth it all right there...make some tshirts, I'll buy 5 right now. 30K Attica 30 K Attica 30 K 30 K!!!!!!!!. I wish I could thank everyone of you and buy you a beer..Please post in here if you are, if your boycotting the team for any other reason besides an economic issue, then please go to your thread and talk amongst yourselves.
Meh... sorry, but only 30k season ticket holders for a professional football team is pathetic by NFL standards. I do however respect them for putting up the cash to still support the team because thats what its all about, but to be excited about this... sorry, its pretty miserable.
That's not boycotting if it relates to an economic issue, which I think it's fair to say pertains to many of us.
Iam not excited at all, if you think I am, your not getting my point, Iam grateful to the ones that will be there and not show their their *** to the team.
Yup, some of your fan base of your favorite team is pathetic, but the ones that Iam talking about are pure royalty baby, that should have a freakin shrine for them this year..
I feel like you just basically said fans with money who can afford season tickets are better than fans who can't, or fans who don't live close enough to the stadium to even reasonably buy season tickets. The real argument would be fans who are fortunate enough to have season tickets are lucky. I'm pretty sure everyone here would have season tickets if they could reasonably have them its not like no one watches the games on tv that would be truly boycotting.
well I didn't, I've made this clear, I'am not talking or targeting fans that can't renew because of financial issues, Iam merely saying that if one can afford it,the ones that have stayed on board, iam grateful to and hope the team acknowledges them, the ones that think that boycotting the team will apply pressure and help the situation, I disagree with.
Fans who stopped buying season tickets and can afford them aren't any less of a fan. They're fiscally responsible. Proud to say I haven't bought any tickets or merchandise in 2 years. Too smart to buy a ****ty product that costs hundreds, thousands of dollars. Granted I'm a broke college student, but still... Hopefully we can get that number to 15,000 by next season, and get some real change around here.
New head coach, new coordinators and systems not good enough for ya?.. What's your plan to return to glory RR? You want a new owner?
The only fake fans I know are ones like you who accept mediocrity and mediocre QBs like Matt Moore. Glad I'm not one of you. Losing seasons aren't acceptable to me like they are to you.
For a person with a Matt Moore 2012 sig, I'm glad. One less acceptor of mediocrity I have to deal with. Matt Moore lol. Talk about a fan with no intentions of watching his team win, sheesh. I'm ashamed.
You won't buy dolphins merchandise because were not a good team?!? If that's not a fair weather fan I don't know what is. You should support the players putting in the work on the field even though you might not agree with the guys upstairs.
You don't accept mediocrity but you support having a season where we pick #1 overall? I don't even know what to say.
New head coach, new coordinators, new system. Same idiot drafting high character, mediocre players rounds 2-7, with the safest possible small impact players in the first rounds. 15,000 next year after our 4th straight losing season this year. One can only hope that would get some real change around here.
Sucking enough for the top pick isn't mediocrity. 7-9 is. 7-9 is always the worst position you can be in. You will realize this in 3 years when the Colts are contenders, and we're still looking for a QB, and a playoff berth.
Those players suck, hence the 3 straight losing seasons. I think I'll pass on handing the idiots running this team my money, but thanks for the offer anyways. I'll stick with my throwbacks. Perhaps when you decide to do the same, you can help put an end to the absolute laughing stock that is the Miami Dolphins. Nothing forces change like thinning the wallets of the men in charge.
Sadly I have to agree. With our pathetic schedule, 7-9 with a garbage Landry Jones first round pick here we come. Not like these incompetents can tank and rebuild correctly anyways. A man can dream though right?
Exactly, you wont support your team when the players suck but only support your team when the players are good. That is a bandwagon, fair weather fan.
Bandwagon... Sure... But then I guess supporting mediocrity makes you a terrible fan. Take your pick. Let me guess, you're just as accepting of Florida State being a complete **** program for the last 12 years.
Come on bro, no one here accepts mediocrity. We all may differ in opinions on how to get there, but we all have the same goal in mind...winning the Super Bowl. And then winning some more. I won't speak for anyone else here but I will fully support any QB that lines up under center for us and hope he can take us where we want to go. And I'll never hope we lose games in order to get a prospect that may never even get us there. I'm not saying that's what you're doing, but it appears that way. And remember, no matter who the QB is, there are no guarantees. See: Dan Marino. Just gotta hope and cheer for the best year in and year out, man.
False, I don't support mediocrity I support the Miami Dolphins Organization through thick and thin. And yes I support my school through the tough times, I might not agree with everything but that doesn't mean I desert them when times get hard.
So your happy with our new staff but want the Gm fired, and our ok with the owner?, well Iam not sure we disagree as much as you might think, I think we all understand that the eye has to be close on Ireland, and most of us feel that he did not pick the groceries while the POS was here, so why can't we judge Ireland, deal with him accordingly, and still root for our team to play tough united football while the new coach that you like molds them into their new systems.?
I hope Matt Moore throws 70 TD's this year and leads us to the Superbowl too. I hope we win 19 games this year. Sadly, I'm more realistic than others want to be. They know that a losing season is coming, but would rather be 7-9 than 1-15. Makes absolutely no sense to me. Losing is losing. I don't care what the record is. They would rather cheer for meaningless win after meaningless win, hoping that somehow a franchise QB magically lands into our lap with a mediocre draft pick. The top pick is no guarantee, but it gives a MUCH higher chance than any mediocre pick. And that's only going to be even more the case from here on out. This is a QB driven league. The chances of landing Aaron Rodgers with the 24th pick are slim to none. QB is so important that we have 2nd round at best talents like Christian Ponder, Blaine Gabbert, Jake Locker, even Tannehill to some extent, going high in the draft.
I have no confidence in the talent level of this team to have even a winning record. My confidence isn't going to change as long as we're trotting out Matt Moore, David Garrard, or even Tannehill at QB, with the WR's that we're trotting out. I don't expect Reggie Bush to have the same year he had last year, and I don't expect the Offensive Line to miraculously learn how to block. Yes there's a draft coming up. But I have no confidence in that either. I'll root for them to win the first few weeks, but once it becomes apparent this team is going nowhere as expected, there will be no point in rooting anymore. At some point you have to concede defeat and hope for what's best for the future.
You don't support mediocrity, but you've been supporting the Miami Dolphins Organization who have provided nothing but mediocrity since Marino retired. Not following...
So what are you implying that I should give up and pick a new good team? I have no control over that, yes the Miami Dolphins have been mediocre but that doesn't mean I enjoy watching them lose. Your really not making much sense.
I never said that. This isn't about rooting for your team. This is about paying money, that goes into the hands of the incompetents that run this team. It's akin to someone enabling a drug addict by giving them money. The Dolphins need an intervention...
That would be better than another 7-9 season, that's for sure. No playoffs with Matt Barkley or no playoffs with Landry Jones... Take your pick.
This is very complicated for me, your perspective that is, at the end of last year, I did recognize how good luck would be, recognized what we had on the team, and looked into the future,it made me not care of the outcome of games because I was willing to sacrifice this one time to get that once in a lifetime prospect, however, the prospect dictated the mentality, And I felt a responsibility not to promote it, but that prospect is no longer available, and we have a new staff, why continue to promote for prospects that don't come close.?
It's not about the prospect with me. Barkley is no Luck, nobody is, but he's a damn good prospect. It's about mediocrity with me. Even if Barkley wasn't in this draft. Top 5 pick beats top 15 pick regardless. No playoffs is no playoffs as far as I'm concerned. 8-8, 0-16, both the same as far as I'm concerned, except for draft position.
Okay I understand that, but you not buying dolphin merchandise isn't going to make our owner try any harder to put a winning product on the field. I am sure he is trying his best to build a winner on Sunday regardless.
Well, we have serious fundamental disagreements, going from mediocre to upper echelon doesn't have to come thru becoming the worst team in the league so you can get draft position, especially when you have prospects that have risks..I didn't care the outcome of the last few games last year with Andrew luck in the equation, the beast your talking about is completely far fetched to think this is how you will improve, there are so many risk variables in your theory it's crazy to promote it man..
