It's a long article, looking at all the positions. Here is some of it.

Surprised that there is no mention of Fuller at all.

Hmm, and will Ryan Baker slide unto the roster yet again?

He's played pretty much everywhere on the DL

It's dudes like that who end up on lists like... "The Three Players WHo've Been With The Dolphins The Longest"
And you're like "Who is this guy? Have I seen him play? what position is he and how did he outlast four head coaches???"

Baker, the "amoeba" reminds me a great deal of Jeff Zgnonina, just a guy who plays forever in the NFL,

Which also reminds me of Rob Ninkovitch.

High effort over achievers. Blue collar. I respect those guys.

Matt Roth could have been one of those guys but I don;t think he'll last. Too roidy.

The player that interests me is Thigpen.

Re: Vontae. his interview today pissed me off.

He doesn;t get it. I expect to see a demoted guy, who was also embarassed on national TV actually BE embarassed. Or give s **** at ALL about his downward descent.

He just doesn't take any of this **** very seriously, does he? If you say he does... it ain't showing... it ain't showing in his attitude. It ain't showing in his off the field behavior. It ain't showing in his on the field performance. So where *IS* it showing, in his meaningless b.s. words that don;t match any of what's really happening?

Baby boy is just a baby. Color me annoyed with this stupid kid.

I thought his interview was perfect.

How else was he supposed to react to an exaggerated television story?

Like it concerned him that he has IN REALITY (not in a fake TV made up story) been demoted because the real coaches have real concerns about him.

So what if it was shown nationally or just passed to him scrawled on a square of toilet paper under a bathroom stall wall. Either way he knows the situation ow and thinks it's laughable and isn't concerned.

Do you see a guy who look ready to get serious? I don't. At all.

I'm just wearing a little thin with how every year it's someone...in terms of return specialists. In 2008 it was Jayson Foster, that super dynamic little quarterback from Georgia Southern. Then in 2009, it's Chris Williams who was catching all the eyes in camp and getting all these looks at return man. I think he might have even gotten a return touchdown or something, seem to remember that. In 2010, it was Tristan Davis. In 2011, it's Phil Livas. Now, it's Marcus Thigpen.

Eventually it begins to just wash over you. Another returns-only guy that catches everyone's head because he's small and quick, yet doesn't make the roster. Hooray.

I'm surprised Vernon hasn't instilled his work ethic in to Vontae by now.

Then again that family tree has nuts all over the place apparently.

CK mentioned some sort of offseason tragedy too. I don't know the full story, but I know Vontae was already disciplined last year for not being focused on performing on the field because of his lack of taking it seriously while off it.

So who else is nuts in their family?

I understand, however I keep on reading about him making plays on the offensive side of the ball, which I didn't read about Jayson Foster, Chris Williams, Tristan Davis, and especially Phil Livas. Plus he does actually have some size on him.

Ginn actually impacted the base offense at least. his speed, as CK points out with Gates, helped the other players out there get more breathing room.

No wonder Vontae is quick. Jesus, that's messed up (both the news and my joke).

Has he been demoted? Omar is right that he hasn't been playing on the 2nd team.

The concerns of real coaches isn't that he isn't playing well, it is that he isn't playing great. There is a huge difference. If coaches are telling you that you are really good at your job, however you can be great, do you take that as a huge concern?

It totally can be a laughable situation. He is taking it well. He is working hard. So what if he is laughing? Does everyone have to take every news exactly like you want them to? There isn't a one way to take anything.

Yes, I do see a guy who is ready to get serious. Laughing doesn't mean you are not serious.

I'm really interested in Kheeston Randall. He flashed some good things at Texas and could benefit from a guy like Soliai IMO. Two big strong guys who are more disruptive than space eating.

I'm a Ginn supporter myself. Should've laid on the sarcasm a little thicker. I totally understand the concept of taking the top off of a defense. Hopefully Gates becomes that guy for us. He does have elite speed. He doesn't seem too self assertive though. That scene in Hard Knocks where his girl/wife is in Holland, and he says he has no one to support him and stuff. I thought it he was being all cute with his girl and stuff, but the expression on his face was telling. I'm no shrink, but it looked as if he really did feel all alone and stuff. Man up for crying out loud and take your roster spot - the coaches want you to.

Ginn could teach Gates a thing or two about coming back for under thrown balls. Ginn was really good at catching balls that were under thrown. Gates seems to need the ball to be perfectly thrown for him to catch a long ball.

Pretty much disagree with you on all counts. I do agree with the bolded part though. So that's something. lol. (despite the lol I am still serious)

I'll take disruptive over space eating every single time. Reminds me of the NFL Films piece on Alan Page, the old Vikings D-lineman. So disruptive. Amazing.

    I guess, agree to disagree.

I thought nothing shown on Hard Knocks means that Vontae should get the John Jerry treatment.

I meant soft personality wise but yea, his play could def be a lot more physical as well.

I do agree, I think we would be talking about a different player if he made that catch against the Colts. I think that really hurt his psyche.

His very fragile psyche if that's the case  Players with the right mentality would brush that off and learn from it, not dwell on it like a biotch.

Get Kheeston Randall to watch this...

If he doesn't become great on the field, maybe he'll get inspired to do law school.

Fragile sounds about right for Ted, inside and out. I always though he had the same look in his eyes most of the time that a scared chihuahua has.

I agree for the most part. Just strange that a return man would be afraid of contact.

That's like a boxer that really hates to get hit in the face.

Well, it makes you REALLY movtivated to be elusive.

I've actually heard pro athletes say stuff like that after they retired. "I moved like that because I was scared of getting caught!" type of thing.
