And she is pulling for Chris Hogan to make the team. Then Chad Johnson gets cut and she asks the question. "Since Chad Johnson is cut, why don't they start that 7/11 guy, he is best WR they have." Out of the mouths of babes! I would LOVE to see Hogan with the first string. He has earned it.

    Wives love 7-11.

Wish that were true of the real 7-11.

They do not keep this kid Hogan they all should be fired. Welker was laughed at. Amendola was laughed at and Woodhead was laughed at. This kid 7-11 needs to be on this roster. He is better then some of the receivers already on the team.

Like I said, we cut him we will see him again against us and with our secondary, it will not be a good day.

Why has he earned it more than anyone else exactly?

What a coincidence! I was watching HardKnocks with Lucky's wife and during that scene all she could say was," don't stop, right there. oh my god, I'll leave him for you.".

For those that don't know, Rocky Raccoon is Lucky's wife.

Rishard Matthews had a STs tackle as well, a TD, and didn't miss a catch that would put the offense within 5 yards of the end zone.

So again, how has Hogan earned starting reps more than anyone else on the team? Because of a few choice cuts from the Hard Knocks folks?

I'm not saying he definitely he hasn't earned it, but if you're going to say "he's earned it," you better have some good quality info to back up such a statement.

I'm not saying he's earned the only wide receiver spot on the team and everyone else should be cut. I liked Matthews as well. If I'm keeping five receivers, I'm keeping Hartline Bess, Fuller, Hogan and Matthews. If Hartline can't go... I keep Gates as well. Naanee has caught one pass. Wallace is entering his third season with the team and has not shown signs of improvement on the field, in games. The coaches have nicknamed him ankle weights. Pruitt and Moore same thing.. three years here... no signs of improvement. There's only so much special teams play does for you. When you're the 4th or 5th receiver, that's great. When you're counted on as a 1, 2 or 3, you'd better be able to bring more to the table than a couple of special teams tackles.

I don't know how anyone on this board can draw the conclusion from Pruitt that he's had no signs of improvement in his time here.

I think Moore runs much better routes now vs when he got here, same with Wallace too. Wallace catches a lot better than he used to, and also is more aware of where he is compared to the coverage. Not saying they are great, or should be on the team, but I think they've clearly improved.

Pruitt followed up that first game performance (6 catches for 52 yards) with a zero receptions for zero yards effort last night. His consistent level of play exudes infinite confidence.

WTF does that have to do with your claim that he hasn't improved in his time here?

Also, do you even know how many reps Pruitt had out there on offense this game vs last game?

Wow. Now I'm convinced that Pruitt hasn't improved at all in his entire time associated with the team.

Your receptions and yards have nothing to do with your talent as a WR. You can be open every play but that doesn't mean the QB throws it to you, sees you, or has time to find you.

If we are going by stats Hogan should be one of the first cut. But we aren't thankfully.

How so? He is 5th among WR in receptions.

NFL.com game log says he played, but I never saw him in the game for even a single snap. I thought maybe he strained or tweaked something in warmups.

He was on the opening KO coverage, but beyond that I am not sure how much he got in. That's why I didn't criticize his stats.

I didn't look specifically for him on every snap but I did see him on special teams a couple of times. You'd think after his "stellar" first game performance that he would have gotten at least the same amount of reps in this second game. Maybe he showed too much and the coaches just want to look at other receivers (sarcasm).

He did play well at WR the first game. No denying that. Considering he was not even gunner on punts throughout the game, I'm of the belief he tweaked something on the first kickoff, or the coaches just wanted to look at the other WRs.

    No saracasm :pity:
