It's gonna be a high second, because the colts wont win much this year. But this is a dumb as it gets. Got a solid corner with a 1st round pick, and of course, we trade him away for a second. Watch Ireland use that 2nd pick an another corner. Team got worse.
I'll let Ken La Vicka speak for me here: The Colts are in a weak division inside a weak conference with a sensation at QB. They can be a Wild Card team.
This is till a talent acquisition business isn't it? Did I miss something.... and hey great to have such faith in your proven drafting ability and record.

That extension he got is mind-blowing
Mando reporting a player from Colts might be involved too. http://miamiherald.typepad.com/dolp...to-colts-for-draft-pick-perhaps-a-player.html
Wow. This **** is sad. We now have two players tied for the most into at 2. One of whom is Randy starks. Good lord, I hate Jeff Ireland and Stephen Ross. Bunch of bozo's running our franchise back into the ground.
Maybe Ireland can find a Cb with that pick because now they need one. Oh and a Safety, and another Safety and 3 Wr's and a Lb'er and another pass rusher. Yippie! This team never rebuilds! They just keep building from scratch.
ESPN reports:Wake traded to New England for Danny Woodhead. Ireland early candidate for GM of the year.
The franchise was six feet under before they got here. Ross is at least doing the right thing structurally.
Some of you are acting like Jeff ****ing Ireland has a good track record of drafting players in the 2nd round. We just got rid of a great CB for what will turn out to be a waste of a pick. Yet the defense of Jeff Ireland will continue. **** this guy.
People need to stop whining over this trade. Vontae was pampered here before this offseason. When he was pushed it was obvious he just didn't have the balls. Good riddance.
apoupartFins Reports: Vontae traded to Indy for 2nd-round pick. Already had an extra 3rd-rounder. Ton of free agents, too. Interesting offseason ahead. 11 seconds ago · reply · retweet · favorite BenVolinPBP profile BenVolinPBP Blog: #Dolphins dump another talented-but-troubled player by reportedly trading Vontae Davis to #Colts bit.ly/Nq5AsK
The funny thing is that he jettisoned his HITS! Not his mistakes. and he dropped two of his hits for less than what he paid. This is enough to fire him. Of course, we will suffer for it. In a salary cap league, player production contrasted to their contract value, is the chief metric for evaluating a roster and how it is built. He dropped a good asset in favor of a horrific one (R. Marshall). So this is also a VERY POOR Salary Cap move as well. We are PAYING to get rid of Vontae for less than what we paid. So not only do we get less than what we paid, we also pay MORE on the Salary Cap in the same slot.
Back??? You mean further deep into the ground. Did you save any cranberry juice for the Irish apologists? When the "it's only preseason" last shred of excuses and hope ends...they're gonna need it. Sent from my iPhone
I must have missed us trading Cam Wake, Jake Long, or Karlos Dansby. We did not even trade one of our best two corners.
He couldn't keep up with the speed that this team wants to play at. He was sucking air and getting toasted. Hardly a great player at all.
Should have fed him to John Jerry IMO Look I'm not going to pretend like Vontae doesn't have serious talent, but I don't think he ever lives up to it. A change of scenery could be good for him.
I know you love Jeff Ireland, but seriously? You're going to buy into the depth chart bull****? And ignore how dominant he's been for us?
I'm impartial towards the trade (don't love it but don't hate it) but anyone who thinks Vontae Davis is worth a first round draft pick is kidding themselves. He's entering his fourth season and we were still talking about what he "could be".
Dude, really? People are acting like we trade Revis for the love of ****ing God. What EXACTLY has Vontae done to earn this respect? He has shown flashes of brilliance, and flashes of pure idiocy.
Luck will win more than 3 games , I believe he will win at least 6 , and won't be surprised they are knocking at .500's door , Miami won't be though. Of course. Really good trade ... for Indy.
The really funny thing is that Ireland doesn't consider Brandon Marshall a hit. This is true, but I don't consider it a big deal. The Dolphins have a lot of cap space for 2013.
If Jeff Ireland was a car salesman, the line would look like the scene at the end of field of dreams... The guy is the putsiest of putzes.
He's never been dominant IMO. Not even close. I don't think he was een better than Richard Marshall was last year. 2nd round is about what I would say Davis' value is.
Let's give him 5, that still makes it a top 10 pick in the 2nd round. The Colts are a BAD team. I don't care if Andrew Luck goes 65%, 4,000 yards and 30 TD's. That defense is going to get absolutely torched all year.
Are you kidding? VD was one of the few good picks our clown of a GM ever made. You really have faith he's gonna get value for that 2nd pick in 2013 draft? Get real!
