But it was pretty obvious that it was what the poster was alluding to when he called it "a player problem".

Lets recap week 1 thus far:

Brandon Marshall - 9 cathces 119 yds, a td, and a drawn PI in the endzone. Yeah who needs him!

Jeff Fisher and his Rams lost a heart breaker on the road against a team equivalent to who we played, a strong Lions team who have deep play-off hopes.

The little fist pumper scored more points in his debut as Jests OC, than at anytime in 4 years at Miami...churning 48 against the Bills who supposedly "had" 2nd place on lock down.

And then there is the Irish and the battered ball brigade. Why do we have a 15 yr old qb coach? RT's balls have been battered all pre-season. He is 6'4". Get it fixed or get this green as can be coach out of here. Lets not ruin our hopefuls career please.

No offensive touchdowns. 4 turnovers in 6 minutes. Our Wr's can't catch anything not thrown right to them, and our QB is a rookie and is not going to be accurate. Oh and then the little matter of being so damn thin and depleted of talent that we just fielded 52 guys.

Yeah, beautiful roster you put together boyz. This is gonna be a looooong one.

This season simply needs to be endured.

It won't be much fun, except for occasional RT flashes that hopefully increase in frequency as we go forward.

Simply devoid of big time talent almost everywhere.

We can only hope the man most responsible is held accountable at the appropriate time

Not only big time talent. I keep reading how "above average" this team is at pretty much every position except WR, and I wonder if people actually watch games beyond Miami. If we don't have the worst safety combo in the NFL, we can see the worst safety combo in the NFL from where Jones and Clemons are currently sitting in the cushion.

This team doesn't just lack big time talent. It lacks depth, and average talent, too.

Especially when you consider the fact that all the points today were scored by special team players. The final score was, special teams 10 and offense 0.

I played football up until high school.
I've played and watched enough football to know that that many tipped balls both in college and in the pros is not a fluke amd certainly is the sole fault of the line.

Endured because you don't have a choice, not meaning there can't be changes in the front office. Endured because the players the team has are pretty much it and you need to find out who has potential. Endured because....well by now you are used to getting your nuts kicked in weekly.

There is hope. Game 16 ends the season and we hope they jettison Ireland. You hope Philben ends up being a good coach and RT soldifies the QB position. I have taken you out of the fecal matter and onto the toilet seat. Where you go from here is up to you grasshopper.

Well, THill is clearly in over his head and the staff is being very cautious with him.

That said, what I'm looking for is explosive plays, we had 4 today, JTrain, DTrain, Thigpen, Hartline

We need to see more of those moving forward regardless of our record, those are the building blocks.

If this season implodes to the degree that Ireland loses his job, then Philbin is probably a goner, too. Ross can't afford to bring a newbie GM in, so if this ends in disaster, you're likely looking at a serious (this time) push at Chucky, Cowher et al.

If Ross expected more than 7 wins he was a fool and he should dump Ireland tonight. You can't kep Ireland for the sake of Philbin and have to hope Philben shows enough that the next GM will want to kep him.

    Not a bad thought.

I have nothing against Philbin but if this season goes really bad, as in 3 or 4 win bad, then you either have to fire both or keep both.

Funny thing is, after this year, this is a really attractive job. 10 draft picks, 3 very high, $40 million in cap space, a hopefully franchise QB. That's something Cowher might finally consider

I dont know that I'd get rid of Philbin yet, barring a Cam Cameronesque failure to handle the locker room, but it's certainly possible he's one and done, especially if this team continues to fail forward at ludicrous speed.

To me, this kills the argument of the quarterback being more important than the head coach. Drew Brees is without a doubt one of the more elite quarterbacks in the league and yet, without Sean Peyton the Saints imploded

I'm disappointed to be a Dolphins fan today.
Not because of the play on the field which was bad at times but because of the comments of this fan base.
You guys guys laid the collective proverbial egg today. :bag:

I'm pretty new here but been around a while man as a Dolphins fan.
I think the same folk that thought we would get blown out put extra emphasis in our early success in the game.
We were playing well and that had some hype. When we folded for three minutes the claws came out everywhere.
It was embarrassing to read the follies that went on. It was excessive and ridiculous.
People already want Philbin fired and were calling RT a bust.
You would have thought the expectations had gone through the floor like that day in Jacksonville when Marino was the QB.

I agree dude! What kind of idiot can possibly say Tannehill is a bust after ONE game???? Just ban them. I blocked 4 or 5 of them. If they say something that stupid, I don't need to read their posts. Grow up kids!!! This is a JOURNEY, not a destination. Buckle up and enjoy the ride and keep the uneducated, immature comments to yourselves!

    I didn't see that.
All I said was Tannehill wasn't very good. I meant in the game, not as in he's a bust.
That's when you lost it and started sending me childish PM's and posting sh*t about me being Canadian and not knowing anything about football.
Should have got you banned....or at least some time away. I guess you have friends in high places.

It took how many years for Alex Smith to even do anything of note in the NFL?

Tannehill just played one of the best defenses in the league, with piss poor personnel in the receiving corps, and had bad luck against him. How anyone can make a conclusionon that I have no idea.
