I looked at the Sun Sentinel staff picks and they all picked the Fins to win an ugly, low scoring game. My question is would you rather win an ugly game, say 13-10, where Tannehill struggles, but we get lucky. Or would you rather see Tannehill look like Marino, throw for 400 plus yards, but lose say 44-35, something like that. So we would find out that we do have a franchise QB once and for all, but the defense lets him down.

    What do you think?

I think the Phins are gonna run all over these guys and dominate the game. I think we finally have the kind of offensive line that can go out there and dominate a game.

There is never a good reason to prefer a loss, and one game would not prove for sure he is a franchise QB, simply because he does well against a team like Oakland

    I want the win.

Him throwing well against Oakland is by no means finding out that we have a stud QB.

A win should boost the team/Tannehills confidence. It's exactly what we need to create any sort of positive momentum. A loss doesn't do that. Go Fins!

A win in which Tannehill plays well. Boom, mind blown.

That's why I didn't vote. I expect this team will compete hard every week and Oakland isn't very good either.

    ugly it is...
the fact that we are once again in rebuilding mode
but it is what it is
patience, we are not going to play-offs
having said that, an interesting season lies ahead
my expectation is a very competitive team that consistently improves

I would take the win, but I really think that the most likely outcome is an easy win where the team looks mostly good, but has a few bad moments. I think this is important b/c the team and the fan base needs to establish stability. Getting rid of coaches and/or GMs every few years is a recipe for disaster.

Win all day. I see we played well against Houston which is supposed to be a SB calaber team in alot of "experts" eyes. I think we do really well against a team with a QB who doesn't seem like he wants to play there. Hopefully Bush gets me a ton of fantasy points this week too.

Gimme some more options...I never like two option choices. How about win pretty, but lose Koa Misi for the year?

I want the win, I want the win badly, but if we win and T-hill sucks, kinda defeats the purpose of the 2012 season. But if he goes out and owns the Raiders, and we lose a shootout for whatever reason, it really is something to look forward to.

Where was the "Tannehill looks like Marino, Dolphins trounce the Raiders" choice?

True story... Now they look pretty good on offense... Helps when you don't have to learn a new system every year...

Really? This has to be the most superfluous poll in the history of these message boards. Anyone who would prefer a loss to a win pretty or otherwise should check their head.

If he can continue to play at the level he did in week 1 that would be a big loss for the team. He is doing well in his new role.

I said lets find out about our QB, here's why....

We won ugly for 8 yrs under Wanny. Jay Fiedler was just good enough to keep us in games that our D basically won for us...I don't want to see us playing that way any longer....After having successful regular season runs we always died when it counted late in the season and in the playoffs...

Second, a win-at-all-cost win won't mean much if we can't follow thru with better play as he develops and we know what it's like to watch a QB do just enough, but not really enough, with (insert name of qb since Marino retired) only to find out that he's simply not who we thought he was ??

No thanks...let's give this kid a ride to see what he's got and whether we need to continue to look for one or not...

I agree, Misi can really save face if he continues. At first, I put lose Pouncey, but I tempered it with Misi.
