You really mean to say, "We don't need no stinking receivers" (in tribute to Blazing Saddles and Sierra Madre)

I fully ditched Naanee when he missed that block that got Reggie buried on a screen.

Blocking was all he really did.

Philbin said he wants to get Legedu Naanee “more involved in the passing game.” Naanee has been thrown only three passes; two were intercepted (including one tipped by a Houston defender) and the other was incomplete.

You have to wonder if Naanee continues to play so poorly when Matthews and Armstrong will take his reps.

You are absolutely right. Blazing Saddles took that from Sierra Madre. I remember that scene.

There is something wrong with this comment, "They have only thrown three passes his way." Can any of us recall a starting receiver that had only three passes thrown his way in two games? How uninvolved can a guy be? Naanee's involvement can only go up.

ps. And yes I know he didn't start in game two.

Funny Naanee story. I'm playing this simulation game called football mogul to pass the time, and I'm the 2011 Panthers. I call a kneel down because I'm winning in the final seconds...the screen tells me Naanee was seriously injured....ON A KNEEL DOWN.

It kind of summed up real life for me.

But that's how good a blocker he is. He goes all out blocking on a kneel-down and gets hurt.

Naanee is probably a cool guy and would be fun to talk to. It isn't personal, but he has got to show up.

If it's not already, it is soon going to be RT won't trust him as a target in games and he'll be thrown to only as a last resort.

New weekend, new game, old results. Naanee being paid close to a million to play special teams. No catches now in three games and it was more obvious this week that the Dolphins need receivers who can separate. Bess, Fasano and Hartline at the end come through, Armstrong likely on a fast track out.

Was he even dressed .He should win the invisible man award..yet another week.
Unfortunately his replacement Armstrong was only too visible...dropping balls.

Armstrong is not the answer to Naanee's virtual absence. Back to the drawing board.

Yeah, I saw him make one ST tackle. Thing was though, we had our best gunner, Moore, not dressed. Naanee was instead. IMO, it cost us some punt return yards by not having Marlon Moore being the first man down in coverage. Carroll was used as gunner on the right side where Moore usually lines up. He isn't as good as staying under control when he arrives at the return man and getting him stopped or slowed down.

Could care less about Legedu at this point. Let him stay on the roster. Maybe he'll look good enough to milk a pay check out of someone else next year. Like the Jets.

If it meant cutting Naanee, I'd take Ray Lucas back on this roster...at the end of the bench of course.

Dolphins had four receivers active, with Moore and Matthews inactive. Until Hartline made the big catch, he had been held in check. Bess had the better game. Armstrong may have played himself off the roster. Naanee was generally invisable, even though I did see him in some 3 or 4 receiver formations. Naanee and Armstrong need to go, and the Dolphins need to think about guys that can separate. Until they do that any opposing defense will throw the sink at the Dolphins.

Even without Keller, the Jets exposed the Dolphin secondary. The two biggest weaknesses on this team were obvious on Sunday, the secondary and the receiving corp.

The Dolphins should think seriously about signing some guys from practice squads. A guy that can create separation to some extent.

Bess did not have the better game. Bess got a few catches after Revis left the game and he's playing flanker versus Hartline having to play split end against the more powerful/faster Cromartie who can jam him. Hartline started to have some success and was getting open after Miami put another deep threat in the game in Armstrong.

Both Bess and Hartline are being asked to play roles they are not made for (Bess is a slot receiver and Hartline should not be asked to run deep as often as he is).

I guess I was defining the better game in actual catches. Now I would agree with you on the misuse. And that is where Ireland is negligent. He didn't find talent to assume the other wr positions, thus forcing the best route runners to play out of position so to speak.

I wonder if Sherman is sticking up for Naanee. His comments yesterday about doing his job to get the ball to Naanee has me wondering. It may be that Ireland is being told by coaches to hang on to some of the drift wood.
