I dont know who I should be pissed at but i have to spew off a little steam , fellas. First off, I know we havent been relivant in quite some time. but all the pregame shows , sports center , and all the espn shows have each showed stats and have talked about every team in the nfl , with excepton of Miami . while I am waiting in hopes of getting some information or game time and all they mentioned the Bills 5 or six times , jets 4 or 5 times , the pats naturally all the time. but no mention of Miami whatso ever. even on the standings they had the jets , bills and pats all making the playoffs which i dont buy. those butt clowns didnt even put the dolphins on the board to discuss . so I guess the afc east just has three teams in the division nowdays . we really need to get rid of Ireland and go get some difference makers on offense. sorry for the rant but it kills me to see that the dolphins are not even mentioned with the other bad teams .
I haven't watched pre-game shows in over 10 years. They have become a plethora of bull**** interviews that tell you nothing.
It's because the Dolphins are viewed as a horrible team by everyone else besides Dolphins fans and even the non homers know we arent very good. Untill there is a change at the top and Ross hires someone who knows how to build a winner, this is the way it will remain. This team isnt very good and it showing. We lost the game last week, just like we've lost dozens of other games. This team always finds ways to lose and its been that way for quite awhile.
Uhm...CBS talked about whether or not Tannehill would be the dominant QB in the AFC East once Brady retires. Not sure but that's a pretty big piece of praise. Today is an odd one in that we have a late Mae (late games don't get as much early morning publicity on the shows) and we are facing an NFC team on the road, which means FOX hold the rights. Since CBS skews towards AFC games for obvious reasons, we aren't high on their radar this week. No biggie in my opinion.
Road teams in cross-conference play have their games played on their normal stations (AFC road teams on CBS, NFC road teams on Fox). We're on CBS today, not Fox.
The Dolphins need to do something to justify being talked about. Right now they have the lowest home viewing ratings in the league. They are 1-2 and they are coming off three seasons in a row in which they were a sub 500 team. Due to the lack of interest by locale fans and the teams overall record in recent years, the networks probably don't feel it is necessary to spend much time discussing the Dolphins, and I really can't blame them. If the Dolphins want people to talk about them on television. They need to start winning games and become a top tier team once again. It has certainly worked for the Miami Heat. No one talked much about the Heat when they were a bottom tier team a few years ago. Once they signed James, Bosh, and now that they have won a title, everyone talks about them. The Dolphins need to start winning and the talk and praise will come.
I am not so sure I would like them to talk more about the Dolphins because it seems like all they can do is run the team down. I feel like if they can't say anything positive I'd rather them not talk about the Dolphins at all. If the Dolphins start winning recognition will follow.
You were saying? yeah, that's what I thought. Looks like you were doing what many of us knew all along---- blowing hot air.
WADR, no way. It's not about calling someone out per se. This guy disrespectfully and overbearingly ran his mouth for months at just about anyone who held an opposing opinion about the direction the organization was headed. This is one of those "turnaround is fair play" type posts so that perhaps he'll think twice about it next time and instead operate with a modicum of decency. I only called out one person, not "people" [plural].
