I agree that Fields has a good chance of making the pro bowl. Of the other players you mentioned, I could see Pouncey, Wake, Starks, and Smith also having the type of season which might lead to a pro bowl selection. Soliai and Jones have played well enough to also be considered.

If Long makes the pro bowl, it will be more on reputation than on his play this year. He just isn't the same player he was before his injuries and right now he really isn't playing at a pro bowl level. Reggie's play has also suffered since his injury against the Jets. Unless he starts playing like he did before the injury, I don't see him making the pro bowl this year.

I do enjoy you adding some laughter to your discussion by adding the names of, Clemons, Odrick, Thomas, and Clay to your list. Perhaps the Dolphins could re-sign WR Naanee, and you could add him to this list of players. Because he has about as much chance of being selected to the pro bowl as any of these four player do right now.

He was terrible in the Bengals game, not a probowl performance.

I guarantee Pouncey will make it. Hell, it wouldn't surprise me if both Pouncey's make it.

Fields is the best punter in the league! Most consistent guy on this team! Not joking either!

I agree with you 100% on them needing to play better. All four of these players need to pick it up or they will be playing somewhere else next year.

    Huh?

Regale us with tales from this world where every roster spot on every football team is filled with superstar players.

I agree that not every position on a roster needs to be filled with a pro bowl player. I just don't think that Clemons, Odrick, Thomas, and Clay have played well ,so far this season. While they may be adequate at this time. The Dolphins should be looking for upgrades for each one of these players if they don't improve as the season goes along.

I have never been high on Thomas or Odrick and I just don't think they they make this team better. Thomas can't remain healthy and even when he does play, he isn't very good. Odrick is the worst defensive lineman in the starting unit. I would rather see the Dolphins sign Starks to a new long term contract and draft a pass rushing DE to replace Odrick.

Clemons just doesn't make a lot of plays at the safety position. Jones was drafted a year after Clemons and he has developed into a very good safety in the NFL. Clemons has no ball skills and I think upgrading this position should be a priority for the Dolphins after this season.

I liked Clay more last year than this year. He seems to have taken a giant step backwards. It appears the Dolphins wasted a pick taking Egnew and Clay just hasn't stepped up to help the offense. TE is a definite need in the draft and much of the reason is that Clay and Egnew aren't productive and Fasano is getting older and he is slow. The Dolphins need to draft a TE who can actually get open down the middle. Fasano is okay as the blocking TE, but Clay and Egnew don't seem to have what it takes to be receiving threats as TE's in the NFL.
