I found myself asking that question about 3-4 plays every game lol.

Wasn't his man initially. Crossed from the other side of the field and both the CB and Safety let him run. Smith got blocked and couldn't catch up to a guy streaking across the back of the endzone.

Why in the hell would you not take that out of the endzone?

Why in the hell would you just take a knee then take a knee on offense in that situation?

Figures Seattle gets a touchdown on a play where our defenders were unable to bring the QB down.

Gotta watch it again! Smith was covering another receiver and saw McCoy running all alone so he went after him.

looked like it was a zone coverage and the guy that caught the ball was in SS's area… he looked like he started to cover him stopped and then went again

Nope, not so at all, as he crossed the EZ SS pulled up and semi coasted behind him

That was a stupid azz play on his part, you NEVER let a man roam free in the endzone

I usually laugh at the notion of any conspiracy theory but I've long accepted that bad teams are routinely ****ed over in the NFL.

Honestly, has anyone reach that point where they just want to "sell out" for the best draft pick possible next season? Not saying I want us to look like ****, but I would like to look good in losing efforts lol.

On the replay, you could see that he was kept out of the play by the man he was initially covering.

looked like SS was covering his initial receiver and was late understanding that his receiver left his area of responsibility and McCoy entered his

I really hate blaming officiating, I feel it always balances out in the end. That said, we have been ****ed raw this year by the officials. It's never a major/highly visible game changing thing that would make networks talk about it. It's always little stuff but when 4 little things happen it adds up to one big steaming pile of dung.

Well, for a half time diversion, the Bards Tale for android is on sale right now, though you might have some problems getting back to the game.

(Buy a bow as soon as you can, be snarky to Mary twice, and don't try the bugbear cairn until you've gained a level or two)

No it wasn't! You could see the guy he was covering was there for a reason. By the time Smith got off his first coverage, he knew he wasn't catching up. We also do not know what coverage they were in without asking or seeing it from above.

Had Smith broke off his first assignment to be able to keep up with McCoy, McCoy would have been wide open as well.......

Smith also knew that if he left the man he was covering to cover McCoy, that his man would have been wide open.

Knew he was not catching up=jogged behind him

He had initial coverage, then slowed up, then tried to speed up to catch him.

IE, he did not know his ****ing job

And it still chaps my butt that Thigpen takes the knee on the kickoff, then we take a knee and let the clock run

If Philbin does not trust Thigpen to handle the ball then don't put him out there, if you put him out there you have to let him try to make plays, that shows a distinct lack of aggression on Philbin's part and our pos Dolphins writers should call him out on that dumb crap.

shouldn't have been it was a bump and the progression worked well until it got to smith. He didn't come off and cover. Terrible coverage. We played better then that in High school and division 3 college

Not looking good folks. Two big halftime predictors of winning, rushing attempts and YPA, we're behind in.

Also, Russell Wilson's QB rating is 122. Ryan Tannehill's is 43.

Dude watch the play again! That player came from all the way across the field! The opposite side that Smith was covering. They showed it on the replay, and even said it was #25's man to begin with.

You can ****ing see SS getting blocked and coming off the block to cover someone who just came from the other side of the field. Holy hell.

Except you're forget that you do not know what coverage it was! Also that had Smith released to McCoy, no one was there to cover the man he released!

I can deal with bad players and bad plays but just not trying burns my a$$. Kneeling is just not trying. Wow I am starting to view this team differently then I have always looked at them. We can not win if we do not try........:pity:

IE: you never, never, never, let a receiver roam free in the EZ

He looked like he thought someone else had corner EZ responsiblities, and gosh, it was his, and he screwed the pooch.

SS24 did not know his job
