If you're comparing him to a generic rookie starter, his numbers might be slightly below average. If you take into consideration his unique situation, he really hasn't performed that badly. At least not bad enough to be seriously concerned. For most of the year, his YPA has been solid. Looking at it today, it's still over 7. Some QB's with a worse YPA? Stafford, Bradford, Rivers. And he's not that far behind Andrew Luck in this area.

If his YPA was really low, say, where Christian Ponder or Blaine Gabbert's were at ~6? Then yeah, I'd be concerned.

It's been difficult watching Luck, Wilson, & RGIII all have statement wins this past weekend. Weeden beat a poor Oakland team, also.

What's worse is that Tannehill has gotten progressively worse as the season has worn on. His accuracy has really been poor. I don't mind getting confused at times. I don't mind picking up a few more sacks, INT's, etc. It's the plays that are there to be made. Even a missed deep ball or two, that happens. It's the pass way behind Clay, or the pass way behind Reggie who has a BIG gainer on 3rd down had he just thrown it softly in front of him to pick up YAC. Those are the tough one's to deal with.

I do believe that Matt Moore would have offered us a better chance for an extra win or 2, but for the long haul, it's best to continue playing Ryan Tannehill. I believe he knows this offense best. It's just little things like accuracy he needs to improve, which I believe he will over time.

The reason I hate this argument is play calling. What if we simply tried to pass it in instead of running it when we were in goal-to-go situations. Tannehill migh have 2-3 more tds this season, we'd be talking m
Less about his ratio, and Thomas/bush would have a few less tds themselves.

But it wouldn't change anything about our season.

Given what Tannehill has to work with, he hasn't been that poor. I hope everyone is seeing now why many of people were worried about the offense coming out of the pre-season. It's coming home to roost now, and that Egnew pick is a glaring miss.

What I don't understand is the lack of using Bush as a sometime / part time slot receiver. Didn't he do that some in New Orleans ?
