So Heat fans get all up in arms when Popovich doesn't play his starters vs Miami a week ago, but now it's acceptable for the Heat to "not care" about winning a December game. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
What a Bull**** post. The Heat specifically played Lebron James in Denver to not cheat the Nuggets fans. Heat play their players. If they don;t put up the effort, that matters none.
Couldn't be farther from the truth. We are just annoyed at all this un-earned arrogance that Knick fans are sporting. It's like a Dolphin fan piping up to a Patriots fan for winning one regular season game. You (Knick fans in general) are beneath us. get it? good. Heat Last 6 years: 4 Div. Titles, 5 Playoff Appearances, 50 Playoff wins, 4 ECF appearances, 3 EC Championships, 2 World Championships. Knicks last 6 years: 1 playoff win. But we have to catch ****...right? No.
The Heat losing to the Knicks hurts Heat fans. No one likes losing to their rivals. But please keep in mind that it is a regular season game in early December. The truly elite teams don't really turn it on until at least Christmas, and usually not until after the All-Star game. I wouldn't consider the Heat having to catch the Knicks at this point. Not unless either the Knicks completely run away in the East, or if they get it done in the Playoffs. So in essence, Heat fans should probably admit they are bummed their team lost, and Knick fans should probably admit that this win means more to them than it would to Heat fans, because they know The Heat are more talented.
Not in the regular season. Losing a playoff series to the Knicks would hurt, but that would be less about losing to the Knicks and more about this roster having already proven they're better than that, therefore the pain would be the sting of underachievement. Why do Heat fans need to admit to an emotion we don't feel?
Your not catching "sh-t" because you lost...your catching sh-t because when you guys lose you have Bs excuses, you guys are horrible fans with a permanent double standard. A handfull of you just continue to make yourselves look childish. Never seen such a group of sore losers since I was in elementary school. If you said who cares we lost a regular season game in December that would be an exceptable statement, but to try to blame every loss on anything besides your play on the court, is ridiculous and I will continue to LOL at you.
Fin-O has a point. While the game means nothing major in the long run, it IS a rivalry game and had the Heat won, you all would be on here spouting off about how handling the Knicks shows that he earlier game meant nothing, etc., etc. I hate when the Lakers lose to the Celtics. Every single time. Does it mean that that individual loss means a whole lot? No. But it sucks losing to a fierce rival. If it didn't, I am not so sure you guys would be defending it so adamantly. It is as if you are trying to convince yourselves more than anyone else. But the loss means nothing in the long run, just stings for Heat fans right now. Especially with a couple of raunch Knick fans always in attendance. Oh well, it makes no difference to me whether you all admit it or not though. On a side note: does anyone think any major trades go down before the deadline? I can't get a good read on the league this year to predict one way or the other.
The difference is Bostons starting lineup is old. The Knicks starting lineup only features two players over 30 (Chandler is 31, Amare 30) once Shumpert gets back and replaces Kidd and Amare gets back and replaces Kurt Thomas. Felton and Melo are 28 and Shumpert is a baby. And none are signed beyond 2014 If you wanna swap Amare for a Laker make it Pau. Honestly, I dont even want Dwight at this point. Chandler freakin owns his *** (head to head) over the last few years and is straight up a better defender. Dwight has all the natural ability in the world and from what I have seen over the last year is the fire to be great just isnt there. Give me an over achiever whose teammates and coaches love him rather an underachiever who butts heads with coaches (SVG) and teammates (Kobe).
damn pacquiao got his *** beat down swiftly lol and people think this clown could fight mayweather what a joke
Who is blaming losses on anything besides their play on the court? We were talking about how they didn't seem to care to play hard all year. I even wondered if they would give a **** vs. the Knicks. I guess we got our answer. "Horrible fans"? says the Knicks fan. Brilliant. Just pipe down with the un-earned arrogance. That is all. You guys are losers. Now act like it, till your team proves otherwise. That is all that we expect.
The two best teams in the Eastern Conference will play Monday. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if it's Heat-Hawks in the ECF's.
I hate losing to any team. Losing to the Knicks doesn't prove anything or make me feel anything though. I've been disappointed by how this team has been coasting all year (especially on defense) and yes they coasted against NY and because of that and a three point shooting night I doubt will be repeated we lost and looked very poor in doing so. The reason I say that three point performance won't be repeated is that most of the shots made, especially towards the end, were contested low percentage shots often by guys who are just "average" or "decent" three point shooters. I won't care about any loss that much until it eliminates us from championship contention and that can't be done at this point in the season so I'll just roll with it and move on.
I don't like losing at anything, but in the third year I think there is ample evidence that this Heat team lazes through the regular season and flips the switch in the playoffs. I mean it happens every year, but still people seem surprised by it. The more annoying thing for me is having to endure the "death of the Heat" rhetoric EVERY year. Hell according to the media we didn't have a prayer prior to the Thunder series.
You have no right calling anyone else a loser. You dismiss another teams win by saying the Heat didnt show up at all like the other team accomplished nothing instead of asking why your own team didnt give a damn about a regular season game. Yet you felt robbed when San Antonio sat their best players down. You contradict yourself. I think Fin O knows and I definitely know Miami is the team to beat. It just feels good to knock a few *******s off their perch because frankly only Heat fans and Lebrons nuthuggers like the Heat. Its more the bandwagon fans that annoy me. Hawks dont have what it takes, never have. In particular they need a true C to move Horford to PF and Josh to SF where they have decisive advantages or a SF upgrade and SG upgrade to help their offense. One thing they lack is a go to player. To me theyre the 5th or 6th best team in the east. Knicks, Boston, Philly, Pacers, and if the Bulls are healthy...any of those teams would beat Atlanta in my opinion in a playoff series. With the Bulls it depends on Rose's health.
Love when Melo drops 34 on his old team and closes out wins (11 in the 4th). Still undefeated at home (8-0)
This is like laughing at the Knicks, since the Hawks have played as good, if not better than the Knicks. So what makes the Knicks special, and the Hawks not? Forget it..I know...it's NUUUU YAAWWWWWWK....
What San Antonio did, does not compare in the least bit. I don't know how that is a contradiction. And I didn't call anybody in particular a "loser". I called an entire fan base "Losers". I made a general statement. As for Atlanta, nobody in the league defends with the consistency that the Hawks do. Horford is best served playing center, it isn't 1997 and there are only two true centers in the NBA.
Ever notice how nothing "compares" unless it benefits Heat fans??? And now your saying Atlanta is better than NY.... You gots all types of issues.
Ok then ATL needs a SG and a SF worth a damn. I said they needed a C or to fix those two spots. Thats why the Knicks are better then the Hawks. Cause youre going to have Kyle Korver guard Carmelo Anthony? LMAO. Would you ask Kyle Korver to guard Dwayne Wade or Lebron? Hell freaking no. And Josh Smith is a very inconsistent #2 option If you dont understand the contradiction Ill break it break down for you even simpler: 1. You complained about SAS benching their guys. 2. You then defended and admitted the Heat loaf through the regular season. 3. Your problem with SAS was that "it wasnt right to the fans" 4. But youre ok with Miami loafing in an equally premium game vs NYK. See it now?
"Benefits"? Atlanta is 12-5 and with better efficiency ratings overall than New York. It's not a outlandish statement.
I'll take it one by one: 1. Yes I did. 2. Yes I said they loaf. I did not not "defend" it. I ripped them for doing so. 3. It wasn't. They sent their players home. Miami played theirs. 4. I was not okay with them loafing in that game with NY. Had the Heat rested their big Three vs. New York, it would be the same thing. See it now?
They already won one championship this year, so when they reach 30-0 at home, they will surpass the Celtics.
No I dont. You most definitely defended it and you most definitely were ok with it when you were making smartass statements about how the Heat could basically do no wrong. You gave the other team no credit for whipping your boys and instead pinned it on your teams lack of interest in the game. So what, now Knick fans cant be happy with their team? Not even talking about being better then Miami, just happy with wins piling up. Dont like it, dont read it.
They get so mad seeing Knicks fans satisfied....if I didn't know any better I'd say they were HATERS.
