    :scared:

I couldn't find the  smiley.

The Marlins make me feel like if I asked the prettiest girl to prom and when I go pick her up, her ugly sister is the one there with a corsage waiting with me.

I'm pretty sure the payroll range is about the width between urinals at Sun Life.

How will Loria be able to show his face in this city again?

The same way he always does. At rich people's gala and events. Private helicopter, and by dressing as Van Gough.

Why does Beinfest stay? I know $$$ is involved, but why not want something more (baseball-wise)?

Oh, so now they care about pissing people off about payroll slashing.:pity:

Also, supposedly there is interest in Yunel Escobar. I say good riddance to Hanley 2.0 ASAP.

I would rather keep Escobar unless the offer is pretty good. He's a good player.

What do you guys see happening to Redmond this year? Do you see him lasting a full season? I feel like he is being set up for failure.

Redmond will last at least a couple of seasons before Loria decides to change pants again.

They traded him to Tampa for Derek Dietrich? An infielder, anybody know who is inline to play 3rd now, Zack Cox?

Yea, the Escobar trade was decent. I wanted to keep him but since we're not going to compete trading him was the right move, I guess. Deitrich was a nice get. He crushes righties.

I think they might sign Reynolds for 3rd base. Or Jack Hannahan.

    I believe it.

Supposedly the Marlins told Escobar they had planned to keep him if he was okay with playing third. Escobar told them yes, and then turned around and said no a few days ago.

I think I'm with Anonymous. Mark Reynolds is going to be a Marlin I think. Hopefully at first base, though.

Speaking of LoMo, is it just me or has he been super quiet for a few weeks? You'd think he would have been the one with the Twitter outburst, not Stanton.

Forgot about LoMo. I hope we keep him and see if he can figure it out.

Reynolds is a disaster at third. Now I'm hoping we look elsewhere

    They have enough pitchers.

Unless it's for Brad Peacock, I don't want it.

Are we talking a person who throws a ball really fast, or a liquid container with a pour spout? Because with the way we're giving up talent for the sake of cheaper contracts, I'm pretty sure they would trade LoMo for some lemonade.

I wouldn't be against it completely. Depends on the pitcher.

Powder in a container. Little league style.

So reports are coming out that prior to yesterday's blockbuster, the Royals offered the Rays Wil Myers for Shields straight up, as well as for Brett Anderson (Oakland), only to be declined.

I can't help to think that they may have been willing to part with him for Josh Johnson and a little more.

I think he means to say "We found a way to possibly in one fell swoop cut a whole lot of payroll."

Throw out the possibility of Myers. The trade, even if it were intended to improve the team (it wasn't), was still a display of laziness to maximize value.

Then please explain the direction. Looks like they are going to the fire sale get prospects and then go Woe is me! We cant afford them anymore and trade prospects when they are Arb eligible. Rinse and repeat meanwhile Loria lines his pockets and complains about how unfair it is.

I think the direction for the Polonco signing is he will serve as a stop gap for this year while Cox tries to pick it up in the minor leagues.

Hopefully Polanco has a decent season. He finished last year on life support.
