I'm pretty much letting Mach run things if you haven't noticed... because I'm lazy. I just have veto power and can rule with an iron fist if I so choose. It's pretty much awesome.
I think as a rookie, you should keep your ideas to yourself. Congrats though...you may be the first "rookie GM" to win most improved GM. I'm sure the wife(cousin) will be proud.
Just in case you are reading this and wondering where the team selection thread is, well and then go back out to the forum, look up, it's stickied. Like Todd's keyboard.
My bad. Cleared some out. Also is there somewhere I can look at what my roster is gonna look like next year.
Even better: http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/chicago-bears/cap-hit/2013/ that will be the primary thing I use for salaries.
Mach has gone crazy posting all the threads ahead of time... maybe he should release the salaries of every team first
Ugh, all players (save BAL and SF) posted into the spread sheet, all RFA and UFA statuses (save BAL and SF, obviously) posted into the spread sheet. All that's left is cap hits.
All cap hits (save for BAL and SF) added to the sheet. I just have to finish organizing them/matching them up and double checking them. There are always issues, like Adam Carriker is listed as a FA and having a salary, turns out he has a voidable deal, so I'll have to inspect things like that.
organizing/matching done through the Jags so far, luckily very few issues so far. Have a few more beers on me.
FYI, I have my total roster at 47 players, $118,046,767... in cap hit.. .that Laurinaitis contract is a mother ****er.
oh and that's with SJ39 on my team at the 8.9m whatever it is. And I don't give a crap anymore if he's on the team or not. I got some serious cutting to do.
I'm only at NO, so I'll let you know what I have when I get there. I may not do it all tonight. I only planned on putting all the rosters into Excel, but got compulsive again, and here we are. There's definitely no more than a days work left, and likely not even that.
I thought you were already done coming into today and then I got depressed. Just thought you were holding out on us till after the coaches were settled.
Pfft, like I'll do this **** before I have to. You think I was doing all the other threads for fun? It was so I could put off this ****.
For like the 2 of you besides me who have seen a political convention roll call, this sorta reminds me of it. Some teams are fairly quick, like some states are, but some of these teams, there's so many questions and uncertainties, they go on and on like some of those damn states do patting themselves on the back. Anyway, carry on.
I only take these interludes because my brain goes bonkers after a small bit. I likely should take actual breaks, but meh. Up to the "S"s now. This usually is like a home stretch at that point.
