I just touched my open plug socket as zapped myself......I am ready..... I just hope it isnt a letdown....honestly I just want one aspect to be better.... graphics.....I want graphics...bad....I dont care about social networking or any other crap....make it look real.... MLB the Show on PS4 in 2014 I want....
Watch; Sony will just announce that they're announcing an announcement at E3 about an announcement at TGS Autumn.
That and other sports games are what I am honestly most excited about (and jrpgs I suppose). Most everything else I can get on PC.
Yes!! I know you are a big fan of The Show....we traded stat lines a while back once. I took last year off from it as I got so behind on other games. To tell you how much so..... I am playing Arkham City....
Ugh, don't even get me started on my back log. Mine includes Arkham Asylum if that tells you anything.
Emulation is my preferred way to play games now, especially since my rig can destroy PCSX2. I need to finally play FF12 International Zodiac Job System... Anyway, it looks like some nuggets are dropping. Anonymous has one; another is that the system will have 2 SKUs at $430 and $530.
Haven't seen anything about that yet. And I want to see the game lineup before I plunk down $430. I have a sneaking suspicion that Watch Dogs, MGS Ground Zeroes, and next week's Assassin's Creed announcement are all actually PS4 titles.
I strongly suspect that it will be available for the PS4. Best guess? MGSGZ comes out for the PS3 and 360, but the PS4 is considered the lead platform and that version has the highest fidelity. Same thing with Watch Dogs, which was curiously announced for "all consoles" and has Q4 release date.
Holy crap those backlogs are funny......Stitches play both Batman's....worth it..... okay good news The Verge is doing blogging live at this event.....do yourself a favor and view it, they do an excellent job.....they show pictures and everything I love it (thanks Des!) http://www.theverge.com/2013/2/19/4006962/playstation-see-the-future-live-blog-announcement
actually here is the link..... http://live.theverge.com/sony-playstation-4-event-live-blog/ if you do watch it here, no need to refresh, just sit and enjoy.....it does everything automatically
Quiet, Stugotz. I'm watching the live stream here. So far most of the leaks were right. x86 CPU, 8 GB RAM. The leaked controller is real.
They're demonstrating social sharing functions. You guys still doubt me when I say that mobile companies are targeting consoles as a path to the living room? This is all defensive.
So, any thoughts? I wasn't very impressed by the presentation as a whole. Sony treats every event like they're speaking to investors. Your customers don't care about "synergy", Sony. But the technology seems pretty good, if already a little dated. So far the games are just tech demos for improved effects, which is really to be expected, but still disappointing. Unless Microsoft really blows me away, I'm probably going Sony/Nintendo again this generation.
The PS4 look is like the Dolphins logo... still havent seen it... kinda of lame we actually don't get to see what the PS4 looks like
I can think of a few reasons why. 1. The design isn't done. 2. Sony doesn't have any final unit mockups they're ready to show. 3. They may want to save the design for E3 headline fodder. That's just off the top of my head.
