I wonder what they gave up. Harvin is a great player when he's healthy.

    Percy Harvin Traded to Seahawks

Not sure he was ever an option for the Phins, but the pool of available WR remains very small.

    Wow! Interesting move for Seattle.

Makes a ton of sense. If there's one coach in this league I actually trust to handle malcontents like Harvin, it's Pete Carroll. He's got a level of enthusiasm to where he seems to do well with players like that, or at least as well as can be expected.

Also Russell Wilson is a very strong personality at QB.

Eh, it was speculated that we might try to get him, so it's kind of pertaining to Miami.
I see what you saying tho.

Good move by the Seahawks .They are playoff contenders and he will fit in nicely as another weapon for that offense.

I think it's great for Seattle - Harvin is going to a winning team with some leaders and Pete Carroll gets the best out of players like him. Also makes Wilson better and Harvin better simultaneously.

Also agree that it looks like Minnesota will be all in for Wallace or perhaps Jennings but I suspect Wallace will be their #1 target.

Might this also mean that Minnesota feels more confident that they will land Wallace - based on some negotiations over the weekend?

I'd be bummed about that. Would be far too typical for the 'Phins. If Ireland has trouble landing players this off-season (his rep among players is probably trending toward Goodell as opposed to a Pete Carroll), then all the more reason he should have been released and an entirely new regime with the Philbin era brought in.

If I were a big time free agent, I would have a lot of questions about the 'Phins future with a shaky, somewhat dysfunctional Ireland as the GM. How long is Philbin there and that system if they don't win this year and a new GM comes in?

It's a mess, imo. I know there are those that disagree, but those are my thoughts right now. I'll be more than happy to be proven wrong on this, though as the goal is a winning team.

Trade is contingent upon Harvin agreeing to a new contract.

At this point it is looking like the real possibility of the two best franchises in the foreseeable future both reside in the NFC West. That Division looks to have gone from the worst over the last 10 years to the best.

1st round is a pretty high price to pay and that contract they're gonna have to offer. And about the odd man out, Golden Tate didn't sound too thrilled in the quote he made about the move.

I guess the Steve Hutchinson bad blood is water under the bridge. (new regimes I know) I'm glad we didn't get him if the #1 pick price tag is true.

Also I think this is relevant enough to keep on the main board but JMO.

A 1st round pick and 7th round pick this year, and a mid-round pick next year.

Hopefully the Vikings choose to go after Jennings since he might want to stay in the same division as the Packers. This move by the Vikings certainly makes them a big player in the Wallace and Jennings sweepstakes.

I say Seahawks can afford to trade a first with their history of late round picks like Sherman and Wagner

    Scratch off Percy Harvin

He has been traded to Seattle.

Vikings are now in frantic mode for a replacement. Does the ante for Wallace go up now that Harvin has been moved?

I say they gor for Jennings, but with two 1st round picks they are in great position to add WRs through the draft

Also may make signing Wallace a little harder. Not sure what their cap room is but it was rumored they also were after him. Don't know, this Wallace kind of scares me a little bit. I mean we paid one head case a lot of money, Marshal and now another one ? All we need is for us to sign a player and then have him go south on us because he just got paid a stupid amount of money. I also realize the Steelers are tight against the cap, still, this guy scares me a little.

Can't believe they got a first for him.

Glad we didn't make the trade if that is what they were wanting in return. The negatives are not worth it. He will fit in perfectly with the Seattle offense though, until he becomes a winey ***** again.

    Ouch.

supply and demand....marshall is a ticking time bomb with a BPD disorder and likes to hit women...the other guy is a soon to be 25 year old superstar, who can do anything on a football field that you ask him to, his migraines problems seems to be behind him as well...so yeah the 1st round pick is what he is worth
