is Amendola their biggest offensive threat now??? http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap10...on-lloyd-sent-packing-by-new-england-patriots
I think he means threat that has played a full season... Think about it, Pats have Gronk and Amendola, both who has spent a good amount of time hurt... Wouldn't be too confident if i were the Pats.
They brought in Emmanual Sanders of Pitt (RFA) for a look. This might signal they will make another move. Either that or they are gonna focus on the draft.
The pasties have made Brady work very hard for his money as it pertains to WRs, other than WW, but they even took that from him...Amendola will be his WW this coming year and, as was said above, they have those two guys...Gronk and Hernandez...they don't need no stinkin' wide receivers....
Rams released Loyd too, I have read in more then one place the kid is a head case in the locker room.
Just may be true. If he really wanted help though its available to him. Problem is a lot of these guys start some sort of counciling and then just stop in fear word will get out about it. They usually hit rock bottom and then seek help.
They offered Sanders a restricted free agent contract. The Steelers don't have much cap space so most likely if the cap hit is high he's a Patriot. Sent from my GT-P3110 using Tapatalk 2
Nope, from what I see...they actually only have their own through the first 3 rounds, and then traded away their 4th. Of course, some stupid team will come in and give them 5 draft pics for Volmer or something ridiculous like that Here's the current draft order http://www.nfl.com/draft/story/0ap1000000143400/article/2013-nfl-draft-order
It's Tom Brady...Art Monk could come out of retirement and play for that Pats and get 1,000 yards. In other words a star will emerge in New England at the WR position and it will be because of Brady.
Sure, this can explain Lloyd's 1000 yards last year, but not the 2500 yards he had with Kyle Orton and Tim Tebow in the two years prior. Unless you're insinuating that Orton and Tebow are akin to Montana and Young. Give credit where credit is due. Welker, Lloyd, and Moss (sometimes) were all great players, with or without Tom Brady. If I recall, Matt Cassel had a fine year with a largely in-tact offensive corps following the 18-1 year. There's more evidence suggesting Brady and the Patriots offense could struggle this year than not.
Gronk has some amazing talent. However, I'm not sure it would be my first choice to have my biggest offensive threat be an injury prone guy who looks and acts like he stumbled in from the background of a Girls Gone Wild video. I'm not sure how much of his heart is really in the game. YMMV, of course.
There has to be something going on. I could totally see them grabbing Tavon Austin in the first. What is hoody planning?
Keep in mind this would cost them their 3R pick as Sanders is restricted and was given an original draft pick tender (third round).
Nope. It was Orton (in both Chicago and Denver) and Tebow for a few games. Brandon Lloyd and Jay Cutler never played together.
They've already offered the deal so not much matters draft-wise. They're happy losing a third round pick for him.
