I'm a strong believer of having great safeties, we all know what reshad jones is now, but Chris Clemons? I was shocked to see him ranked at nine, jones was third. Even though pff proved he was one of the better safeties in coverage, people still sneeze at that thought like stats don't matter. I admitt that he doesn't make impact plays yetttttt that we may like, but please not that this was his FIRST year starting all 16 games and he did a great job. Jones on shined him of course but Clemons took a huge step also, his stats was better than berry and identical to laron Landrys. Any here's the link, any thought fellows???

Ps. How many people would be mad if Jeff traded up for d.millner?

I have Milliner as my 3rd ranked Cb after Trufant and Banks so Id be beyond ticked. Trufant in particular is so far and away the best CB in this draft for my money I cant even began to describe how little press he is getting pleases me.

He's my 3rd favorite choice for 12th overall, after Austin, and Jarvis Jones.

Damn, So where do you have Rhodes ranked, who might a pick for us. To be honest I love truant to but I just think that from value stand point he would be a great pick at like 17 or 18 (no I dont wanna trade down!) there's been concerns of his semi poor back pedalling, but at the end I think he's a Johanthon Joseph clone, under the radar best cover corner in the draft and one of the fastest

That'd be my top 3 guys, though in a different order:

    1) Jarvis Jones
    2) Desmond Trufant
    3) Tavon Austin
    4) Jonathan Cooper
    5) Sheldon Richardson

Threw in 4 and 5 just because. And, separately, sounds like Aroldis Chapman is going to be the Reds' closer. Again. No official word yet.

The write up on Yeremiah Bell was pretty spot on, if you ask me.

Jarvis jones would be my fav pick an as the days go by its seems more and more that he's gonna slip and Jeff is gonna have to draft him as the BPA, even though I have a man crush on Rhodes who I think coyle would mold him into a yes Ty law version sting, fast and instinctive! But jones at 12 is a no brainier, But you can't go wrong either way. Jones will be a future pro bowel, most violent hand usage since Aldon smith, tavon is gonna be an unstoppable weapon, and truant and rhodes will be riding Wr's coattails for the next 10 years lol.

Hes my second choice after Eifert but theyre very close. Id be all over Austin had we not gotten Wallace on a 5 year deal. But we have Keller on a 1 year deal which is basically a prove it contract. Meaning we better make long term plans.

How's his girlfriend feel about this? :pointlol:

    Just being a wiseguy.... :)

Truth be told I dont have Rhodes anywhere on my board for Miami because hes a man-cb for a team that said it will be playing zone. Hes athletic but i dont see the instincts I need to see from a zone Cb and I see that in Trufant, Banks and even to a lesser degree Milliner. I see Des Trufant as his cousin Marcus played for years in Seattle. Hes going to be a near elite CB in press, man or zone. He has a very high IQ and I really like that when its coupled with a very good physical skillset.

I have the same 4 and 5 as you do. So we are the same other than the order of the top 3.

Chapman was fine as the closer, so I guess I can't feel bad that he'll be back there again. Do they have 5 solid starters without him? Hope we ain't relying on Leake again as one of them. Too many gopher balls.

I'd be very tempted to add Lane Johnson, Kenny Vaccaro, and Alec Ogletree there as well in place of Richardson (I think he'll be gone before 12). I also hope that Miami's not banking on Chas Alexcih taking Tony McDaniel's snaps either. I'd like to see some DL depth drafted.

I think that's the issue...Mike Leake. He'd be the 5th if it's not Chapman. Chapman stated he wants to be the closer and Dusty Baker wants him there too, but the front office wants more of a "return on investment" from Chapman's contract than just being a closer. They also paid Jonathan Broxton pretty well with the idea of him being the closer, so we'll see what happens when push comes to shove. If Champan is closing, the starting 5 would be: Cueto, Latos, Arroyo, Bailey, and Leake.

Was hoping he'd be a starter. Sounds like Dusty's getting his way. Chapman's fine as a closer - actually he's a great closer - but I'd much rather have him for 150 innings (or whatever innings limitation they put on him) than 75. Plus, they have Broxton who has closed before, although he's a little more shaky. I guess the quesstion I have... are the Reds putting him at closer for a while until he can start and stay under the innings limitation for the rest of the season and into the playoffs? I don't think they want a Strausburg situation on their hands if they make the playoffs again, and I think they feel they will. I just would love a playoff rotation that includes Cueto, Latos, and Chapman. It sounds like a rotation that could win it all. That and Joey Votto staying healthy.

And just so I write something about the Dolphins here, I'll go with 1) Werner 2) Trufant 3) Austin/Patterson as it stands now with my top three at # 12, depending on what we do with the rest of FA. If we go get an Osi or Dumerville for a couple year contract, the order would likely change.

That surprises me. In the past, it seems like I've read that he's stated that he wanted to start.

I know it's bleacher but it looked as though they watched some film..

I'm always looking for a way to give Chris his props..good player, has been ascending since he entered the league..and been looked over to many times..

Jones and Clemons with about a combined 45 qbr against..

They have Clemons as the ninth best.Jones as the third..out of 75.

I wanna see some swagger from these boys this year..

Their both fast as sh&$..Jones with a burst that noone knows about but us..

I saw that. I thought they gave Clemons a little too much credit in the tackling category. Maybe I was just being a harsh fan though. Don't both contracts expire after this season?
