LOLOLOLOLOLOL Chris Bosh pushed Hibbert so hard with his fingertips that he tumbled to the floor? Hey Vogel your flop is showing.
On a serious note...the refs have been awful this series and in no teams particular favor. Either let them play or dont. You cant watch a guy get hammered one play for no foul and then call a touch foul the next time down the court. It makes playing defense hell because you have no idea what you will/wont be called for.
I might be wrong but did Hibbert just dribble, drop the ball, pick it up and dribble again? Or did he not put it down the first time? LOLOL Ray Allen MISSES with the elbow and Stephenson is like ZOMG OMG MY FACEEEEE. Every team flops some my Heat included at times but its funny when a team that is so tough and "anti flop" does it.
Ill be honest. I have no issue with "flopping" if there is legitimate contact on a play and you're selling the foul. What I hate is all this fake getting hit in the face, falling on your head, no contact but you flop for the charge.
2 Things... Ive never felt the Pacers were floppers. Even vs the Knicks I felt they were a good aggressive defensive team...maybe overly aggressive. Maybe I felt that way because the Knicks frankly dont drive as much as the Heat do but I never got that impression. Secondly, I hate floppers. Never liked Reggie Miller, Battier, Bruce Bowen...Car Salesman players is what I always called them. Meaning they try and sell anything to anyone and see who is dumb enough to buy it with the sole intention of gaining an edge. I wish theyd enforce the flopping rule harder but they would have to fine half the league.
I think Fin-O is on to something with Hibbert. I think he's basically got the agility of Barney the Dinosaur but a nice little hook shot and long *** arms.
Id agree that hes clumsy. I felt that way when he was at Georgetown. He lacks the lateral agility to make a lot of plays and so he plays D with his arms a lot instead of with his feet.
A Joey Crawford crew calling fouls on every possession, essentially looking for any reason to blow their little whistles? I'm shocked.
Nah he'll play like crap to the point you forget about him, then hit some random meaningful three or jumper when you're thinking "F*** DONT SHOOT BOSH"
There has to have been a mandate to foul Bosh as much as possible in an attempt to extend this series.
Seriously. I just tuned in about 5 minutes ago, and I've seen a foul called on every possession. Is this real life?
If the Spurs were smart they will pursue that same avenue next series as well. They Heat have a lot of good players but depth from their bigs isnt their strength. If youre the Spurs you have to be salivating at Haslem and Anderson playing more then Bosh...no disrespect meant to those guys.
I think you MIGHT see a little more of Joel against San Antonio, especially if we have the lead. There really is no-one on Indiana he can guard. West is too quick, Hibbert is too powerful and so forth. San Antonio actually has players he could guard for stretches of time to keep Bosh/Anderson out of as much foul trouble. Then again he might not play at all.
I'm looking at NBA TV Companion. Does anyone know what the +/- stat means? http://www.nba.com/tvc/index.html?gamecode=20130528/MIAIND&brand=NBA Edit: select box score
Uninspiring first half by the Heat and we are in great position. Hope we come out strong 2nd half. Oh, and free Mike Miller!
The differential of change to the score when someone checks in. For example, if Ray Allen checks in and plays 15 minutes, and in those 15 minutes, the Heat scores 18 and Indiana scores 10, Ray Allen's +/- for those 15 minutes is +8.
