I make no attempt to hide that I'm a fairly fresh Heat fan. I think the first time I really accounted myself a Heat fan was around 2004-2005, watching Dwyane Wade. It's a lot like the Dolphins for me, watching Dan Marino got me hooked on them in the early 90's. Dwyane Wade got me hooked on the Heat. That 2006 run was pretty special, cemented the Heat as a team I'll watch and cheer for on television when they're on. Baseball and hockey just haven't been able to grab me the same way. But even watching them on television I've not come even close to getting into the nuances of the game like I have football. But I don't mind. Most of the fans you see in the Arena don't either, lol.
