Anybody seeing this? He's close to a meltdown. He should be using those crib notes they gave the team.

He's speeding up his defensive coordinator job search.

What coach puts their starting QB into a pre-season game in the 4th quarter behind a 3rd string Offensive line? Even if that QB is mediocre, what a dumb move.

He is way to respectful to the media. And in light of the notes Manish uncovered? He wanted to let go like Parcell's or Ditka, but he couldn't do it.

I hope he's letting go of plenty of Mora's by midseason.

And with the first pick of the 2014 NFL draft, the New York Jets select... Jadeveon Clowney.

    Let that sink in...

He's a dead man walking right now. I think Idzik only kept him around because he was still under contract, and by the time he got hired, there wasn't much time for him to actually evaluate potential coaches. I'd be surprised if Ryan lasts the entire year.

Also, if the Jets do end up getting the #1 overall pick, don't be surprised if they actually go with Teddy Bridgewater over Jadaveon Clowney. You are whistling dixie if you think the presence of Geno Smith will keep them from taking a guy like Teddy Bridgewater if they have that opportunity.

Doesn't have a leg to stand on anymore there. You can hear it in his voice.

It'd be great if they wasted a pick on Teddy after the season too. I hope so.

In any event, Rex is a great defensive mind. Whatever happens he should land on his feet.

Reports are coming out that Mark Sanchez is actually a cartoon character from the 80's.

Even so he brought all on to himself there is a smart part of me that does feel bad for the guy, especially when he couldn't get the words out.

yeah, unfortunately, Geno SMith is garbage just like I've been saying since the draft. I really wish he were a little better, enough for them to waste 3 years evaluating him like they did with Sanchez and we did with Henne. Smith is so bad, I think they take a QB next season with the 1st pick.

Me too. Even if some of the wounds are self inflicted. It doesn't help that Tannenbuam completely screwed up the roster from top to bottom, put them in salary cap hell, and saddled him with Mark Sanchez.

As someone who doesn't know: Just how good is Jadaveon Clowney (or can be)? I only saw the highlight of "the hit" (Michigan game); and yeah, if he plays at that level consistently, I could start to see a little justification behind all these claims that he's the "best (defensive) prospect ever". If he's really that dominant, I would actually root for the Jets to rack up more wins than a lot of you are predicting. But to me, teams like the Raiders and Jaguars are a lot worse off than the Jets.

Oh, and Terry Bridgewater? Ya think he's all he's cracked up to be too? Like a first round talent? Is he a pocket passer or read-option type QB? It might not matter anyway. I remember before last NFL season started, people saw Matt Barkeley as *the* top QB prospect... and well, his stock just fell and fell during the season.

And in either in the 80's or 90's, Sports Illustrated dubbed this player who was drafted by the Packers at "the best offensive line prospect ever", and he turned out to be a bust.

Why the hell was Geno Smith pounding his chest yesterday? Very immature in my opinion.

Clowney is one of those "As close to a sure thing" prospects. He could scrub it up in the NFL, like any other player. However, the kid is a monster and the next Julius Peppers.

Eh, it's all just noise at this point, their real problem is their roster is not what it was even 2 yrs ago, Rex is a Vets coach.

He now has a team of young guys and mostly never were types, think their OL will improve but suspect even Specials will be dreadful this year
