Seriously, I think it's great that he's so fired up. It's a side we rarely see as fans. The players didn't look surprised by it though. Look at Matt Moore standing there like he actually did something today.
He's a great coach! I love how he gives the players the talking points for the interviews that follow. Team win, they're a great team, pass the credit around. Like a father teaching his boys.
Seeing the guys pumped about him being pumped makes me giddy. Everyones had that teacher or parent or coach who is always serious....always....but you respected them....but when they stepped out and showed a bit of emotion....it blew up like dynamite inside of YOU because you know thats rare. So you smile or laugh or feel amazing watching them showcase this emotion that is never usually coming out of a emotionless person......kudos to Philbin. He has had my backing since day one, and I am proud to say he's our coach. Next Shula. Seriously.
The post locker room speech is one of my favorite parts of getting the W. Love it walk proud this week boys.
I love this team man. The players, the coaches, all of them. It's a brotherhood in that locker room and everyone seems to be on the same page.
Not as many "alrights?" this week. You can tell public speaking isn't Philbin's strong suit, but he does a good job of it nonetheless. I've noticed huge improvement in his on camera persona from the day he was announced as head coach up until today. Gotta respect a guy who recognizes what he's not good at but works hard to improve. But he's also improved his coaching and that's what's really important. Does this team finally have it's coach and it's QB? It's starting to look that way...
