They said it is his left knee. Wake on the sideline walking on it, looking down, testing it. Knows we need him.
I will massage more than that if it meant he was ok... Sh&&$ do we know anything from the severity, I heard that he was questionable for return to the game, that's a good sign right?
Good for everyone else who didn't know Jim Harbaugh was a done deal and flying to Miami to sign his contract
Well I hope it's not something extreme. Wake goes to the extremes every day, in the offseason and during the season to be in pristine physical condition. The guy has no cheat days, no days off. He treats his body like a vehicle. If it's extreme it will be heartbreaking. I'm sure he's scheduled for an MRI tomorrow and that will tell the results. Everything now is premature till the MRI is in.
Since Wake was standing on the sideline, no ice I don't believe, I'm hoping it was just precautionary that we took him out. Injuries are really mounting though for every team in the NFL. These training staffs are working some serious overtime.
Apparently La Canfora says MCL sprain and 2-3 weeks are typical for recovery. But I've heard other sources say he could play sooner. We'll see. This staff is pretty cautious with injuries. I'd guess Wake sits out the Saints game but plays the Ravens game.
I think that he'll miss Monday for sure, then we'll see. Obviously we can use him against that passing game, but better to have him against the AFC Ravens, and then especially after the BYE when we play our division rivals back to back. Let him get healthy and not make it worse.
