It's basically a football sim league. Go in. Make your own player, get signed to a team. Computer would then sim the game between the two teams. Check it out here.
Ok, I will try this. I created a nice Offensive Center "Scott "Big Scot" Scottsman". (C) Scott "Big Scot" Scottsman Height: 77in. (6'5") Weight: 301lbs Created: Season 3, day 15 (Jun 26, 2008) Contract: $12,720.00/yr - Exp. season 4, Day 15 Team: Cleveland Heat Agent: BigDogsHunt Signed by CPU: Cleveland Heat D League #11 (Eastern Conference) ...how do I get picked up by a Human team?
Advertise yourself here or on the GLB Forums, there is a "Players Looking for Teams" Forum there. Just make a post there, its a meat market you'll definitely get some offers. Although I would stay in the D-League until about Level 8, you'll probably get the most playing time that way. I own my own team but I still have two guys in the D-Leagues just to get the experience built up. Then again, they just released a bunch of new teams recently so you might find a new team looking for some starters.
Checked out your guy, make sure you get yourself some Equipment. The link is on your player profile page, you can add more points that way. Also some advice, don't go to heavy on the special abilities, they don't do much without strong natural abilities.
and also make sure to set your tactics and advanced tactics wisely. They can seriously affect your career and how good it can be. If you're going to play the game do yourself a favor a spend a little money for some flex points to boost your guy while the season is still young. It's hard at first when you don't see results right away, but just have some faith that your guy will blossom. Its important for you to get on a team with guys that on your skill level, otherwise you'll be riding pine.
One other thing about the Equipment. Put all the points from equipment in the most important categories (Strength and Blocking for a Center IMO) because once you get to 49 it costs 2 skill points to bump the attribute 1 point but the equipment ratio is always 1/1. That may seem confusing now but you'll understand later.
The games happen automatically, you should see the schedule on your team page and it should tell you when the next game is on your player page. Basically all you do is manage your player and the computer sims the rest.
