Yes - worst loss of the year. Practice squad QB, banged up RBs, banged up secondary and we still couldn't get it done. At least the pass rush looked good?
The Jets win...so Dan Carpenter knocked us into 3rd place by beating us with a game winning field goal for the Bills in Miami. Fitting. Its clear we're no better than either the Jets or Bills. And with our horrid O-Line? Possibly worse. The Pats should have fun getting back on track when they trample us next week.
I'm sick right now. I can't believe this. From 3-0 to 3-3 with back-to-back TERRIBLE losses. I really thought we were going to be something this season. This is so ****ing frustrating. And where are all the people saying we were going to "annihilate" the Bills?
I'm inconsolable. I would punch a small child in the face right now. If there was a button that magically made clabo die instantly....I'd stare at it unblinking with sweat down my face. I...want him to feel pain.
Everything was fine until a single player that plays right tackle completely ****s up and ends the game
We're very creative at losing games and it seems like every season is the same old bull crap with different levels of mediocrity.
Really thought we made major strides earlier in the season...now once again we're full of question marks across the board...Starting with the head coach.
Also, I'm begging everyone, please no one say its only one loss and we're still a good team and a win next week we are right back in it..etc.etc....Look we are NOT a good football team..dont anyone sugar coat it,please.
Throwing pick 6s and picks in the red zone is not "fine". Missing FGs, not tackling, not fine. Please don't delude yourself into thinking we lost bc of one player.
I feel sorry for my wife...she has to see me wilt down like a dying plant, season after season...screaming at Shermans play choices and a terrible O-line. So much money spent this year...new logo...such high hopes...and this may upset some of you, its not meant too, but when will we see this brilliance Tannehill is suppose to possess ? I may be old school but a winning QB is one from day one, not one that has to be nurtured. I'm sick over this loss...sick.
Its really....just at this point....frustrating as hell. Actually....its almost heart breaking. I dont even feel like arguing the point to all the negative threads that are bound to arise out of this abortion. F88cking Clabo needs to go...and cant understand why we still have him in there. Hes on pace to be the worst RT in the HISTORY of the NFL. 21 sacks.....I heard the most ever given up by a player in a season is 14. What ever, I know we arent out of it, especially with the AFC East the way it is. And...really, all I want is relevant December football. But...Im sick of defending this team now.
I had to turn it off after the Jills scored their 2nd TD because my heartburn was roiling ... glad I didn't stick around to watch that debacle at the end.
I'm most disappointed in the coaching staff. There were adjustments made during the bye, and they worked. But the biggest adjustment of all -- wasn't made. They had a two-week window to get someone else ready at right tackle. Instead they sat on their hands and stuck with Clabo. And it proved costly. Part of being an effective manager is dealing with issues and making adjustments in a timely manner. And we're seeing too many not addressed for my taste. It took them 7 weeks to do things we've been screaming about all year. And some (like right tackle) still haven't been addressed. There were a lot of reasons why we lost today. But right tackle is arguably the most glaring problem. And it came back to bite us in crunch time.....again. It was a big reason we lost the game, and nearly lost our quarterback. We also saw some of those same stubborn, questionable tendencies creep back in. We got away from the power run formations -- the ones that worked so well -- in the second half. And I didn't like the designed Tannehill runs. They didn't work, they were predictable and you should have scrapped them. They also got our QB hit. In all, we lost to an inferior team at home. A team starting their third string QB and fielding a banged up stable of RBs. We had two weeks to prepare and it didn't matter. Who else is feeling confident with Bill Belichick coming to town!
well the game is at New England... so if he's coming to Miami during the game, I'm feeling just a little confident
That game could be a disaster. Back home and pissed after losing to the Jets. We should make it four straight - sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 4 beta -
It's as if they (coaching staff) are trying to prove that their way and only their way works. Sherman, after getting heat for a sweep on 3rd and inches does it again in the following game against the ravens and gets stopped again. He also called an outside run on 3rd and under a yard today which they picked up, but it's like Sherman is telling us "see it works. I told you,". Then with the whole o line situation they don't address the problem, refuse to make any changes, then go even further by praising the o line play. Maybe it's being pissed from the loss, but the unwillingness to change is like a big middle finger to anyone questioning them.
I think that's the underlying problem with the entire 2013 season. Joe Philbin's stated ad nauseum that he believes in execution. The offensive and defensive systems, IMO, aren't being tailored to the skill sets of the personnel we have. I fear that Miami's just going to be spinning their wheels the remainder of the season running mediocre, at best, schemes. Yeah, they'll probably win a few games more, but I doubt this team is a playoff team. I think the worst thing that could happen, as it relates to the long-term future of this team, is for Miami to end up 9-7 and sneak into the playoffs (or barely miss them) and the staff will press on into 2014 and it'll be more of the same. If anything, at least send a message and bench Tyson Clabo, if not cut him outright.
Look no further than Reggie Bush and how Detroit is utilizing him. It's not like we the fans weren't screaming for the same thing. - sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 4 beta -
Clabo is going to get Benny Sapp'd tomorrow. He received the warning that he must play better to keep the starting job and then he **** the bed the way he did, he's not only losing the starting job he's going to be looking for a CFL team. Hope you like the cold *****.
I am just as frustrated as the rest of you. We were let down today by 1. Three turnovers, 2. Clabo. In that order. That pick-6 hurt and the second pick was just a dumb throw. As for the fumble, that was the nail in the coffin. I'd like to say the Pats are beatable and that we can also beat the Bengals, BUT. This team seems to be REGRESSING and not progressing. Gave up fewer sacks today but 3 turnovers??? I don't know what to think anymore. I know we have the potential to turn it around, but I am starting to wonder whether this coaching staff knows how. Also, what was up with how Lemar Miller was used?
And don't look now, but Mike McCoy is 4-3 with the Chargers. Maybe Ross should've listened to Ireland on that one
Today was the day that my hope for the season died. Until this game I believed we were watching a flawed but competitive team that would be in the playoffs this year no problem. Now. Meh. It seems that (like every other year), someone will find a way to step up every week and make a costly mistake or two. Or three. I'm getting really, really tired. We are something this year. We are the same mediocre team we have been for the past five years and for the majority of the past decade and a half. I was just wondering where all those Ireland supporters are. They seem to hide after a game like today. Hopefully they will now realize that those of us who have been calling for Ireland's firing for the past few years don't really hate Ireland, as they want to accuse us of doing. It is merely us recognizing that Ireland is not fit to be an NFL GM. You certainly don't have to hate someone to recognize that they just can't do the job. I wish Ireland and his family all the best in the future. I just hope his future has nothing to do with making personnel decisions for the Dolphins.
