I have a biased position on that. It will likely be a long fruitless discussion. Do, I think it's wrong in a vacuum? No. Do I think that sometimes hazing is used more for exploitation? Yes, and at that point it's wrong. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk 4
Ok. Why any organization feels the need to haze is beyond me but I don't mind harmless fun. Making a guy pay 15 large so you can go to Vegas is beyond any harmless fun
It's actually not allowed in the military. Not that it never happens but in eight years spent in several different units I never saw anything even close to the extent of what NFL players apparently do on a regular basis. The "hazing" I saw was basically limited to things like pranking new soldiers in the unit by sending them to the supply sergeant for an item that doesn't exist [squelch grease and chem light batteries come to mind] or sending them on some impossible task like collecting exhaust samples in plastic bags from Humvees. This was something you could only do one time, everybody would laugh and that's the end of it. If you ever attempted to have someone buy you a dinner or say you shaved a ***** into their head there would be consequences.
I'd agree with you on that. That situation is exploitation. But then again, I don't really know the facts on that. I've dealt with many hazing cases and have had some very good friends do jail time. So, I try to reserve judgment until everything comes out. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk 4
I have yet to hear anything being done that I would consider over-the-top inappropriate behavior. ATM it appears that Martin can not handle the pressure of being in the NFL. Seem like people are making mountains over mole hills.
Damn it people this isn't just a hazing thing there are reports coming out on first take and they are expecting for a full blown scandal and serious damning evidence is being leaked out . A.J. Smith is saying the team should be shut down.
This kind of stuff is bull**** no matter how much a rookie makes. That it happens on every other team and has been going on for decades doesn't make it right.
