Re: Martin's lawyer respons And... Here comes the boom. Now this just got nasty. Wow....I have a feeling the last few days are nothing compared to tomorrow. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
Re: Martin's lawyer respons Ok..some weird stuff. Supposedly his agent told Espn Martin had issues with more then just incognito. Only to have that agent come back later and say..he didnt say that..that this stems primarily with Incognito. Now we have his lawyer..say..problem with team mates. His team has their messages crossed. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
I kept telling people that we haven't even heard the worst yet. But everyone wanted to crap all over Martin based now what we have heard so far. Its going to get worse. A LOT worse.
So hard to believe anything right now. First couple days I was reading all this, last couple days haven't read a whole lot. Sorta burned out on this whole thing. Can't wait until Monday when we can actually watch Dolphins football.
This will come down to martins word vs every other player in the locker room.. It might come down to who the nflpa sides with.. Either they go with Martin and bring the hammer down on the dolphins or they side with the dolphins and Martin is sent into exile.. Remember bounty gate had more than one key witness, Martin won't..
In regards to Martin's toughness while playing at Stanford and blocking for Luck in their offense. It's a decent way to articulate that Martin is tough because he can block in a power based offense.
Wow. This is bad. Now we are beginning to see this thing take a different light. I can see where Martin felt he was being bullied. This is from Cornwell. This guy is serious.
Because this is how it works. Martin has been holed up and essentially sequestered as he puts everything together to build his case. Anyone thinking that that voicemail was the smoking gun was high. That's was released, simply to lend some credence to his claims and establish Incognito as the brute he is (or they perceive him to be). The physical "attack," will be interesting to know more about. And I believe that the daily name calling and comments will ultimately be revealed. You had to know that there was more behind huh is than a cafeteria prank and a voicemail.
Notice harbaugh never said he was tough, but instead said he was a nice guy, and so was his family.. I think martins family got into his ear and said you don't have to take this we will sue them...
This doesn't really change anything at the moment. It's more he said-she said ****. Speculations. Assaulted by a teammate? What does that mean? A fight in practice? This is what his lawyer is supposed to do. Make him seem like the victim.
But this is just not ANY representative. This is David Cornwell. He's like the Johnny Cochran of sports attorneys. That's what makes it even more compelling.
That's exactly what that is. He is establishing his client's credibility so that people start to question what was going on in order for this man to break. Stating Martin 's durability and abilities on the football field is as good a way to help clear up the "Martin is soft," speech as any.
Right, but that doesn't change my point. His lawyers are going to go hard, doesn't mean any of this is true or hasn't been taken out of context.
My problem with all this is... why does it only become such as pressing issue AFTER Martin loses his job on the left. He's a smart guy and knows that's where the money is... (Yes I know Im flinging poop... but in a logical direction)
"Martin is the victim. I mean it! He played with ANDREW LUCK! he's so tough! So tough he let people control him and still does."
Oh, I am totally with you on that. But the rule of law will certainly take a different view on this, and unfortunately, that's all that matters. [EDIT: And I think this did happen, taken out of context or not. This is downright dispicable stuff here. Maybe this is the big play from his side? Let's hope there is no more. It is getting too ugly.]
great timing, just before halftime, national audience,,, enough time that its gonna get commented on, not enough time to research facts,,, leaves imprint overnight,, good work
I am watching Seven Signs of the Apocalypse on the History Channel right now and it is making me feel better.
Those are awful things to say mind you, but are we really going to have a cyclical debate on the content of locker room discussion again? I would love to know the details of the physical confrontation though, that sounds juicy, and the evidence that side has that the "harassment went far beyond the traditional locker room hazing."
Put it on the Vikings game they are going to discuss the attorneys statement at halftime which is soon.
Just come out of the closet already Jonathan, I think everyone would accept you if you could accept yourself. Sad.
