Tsk tsk NuGap, the DSMV (which has become a joke btw) further list 5 traits, 3 of them needed to make a diagnosis, you've listed one of them.

they have to support incognito because they were in on it lets just say they all trashed incognito do you know how dumb it makes all of them look for letting this go on. Instead we have them hoping there isn't enough evidence to sink them but I have a feeling this is just going to keep getting worse.

Eh, I just didn't want to write out 500 words on how stupid it was to call Martin a sociopath. Like the idiots who say "OMG I'm so OCD" when they just like to arrange pencils or something like that

Goddamn dude, we aren't lying about the VM's being edited.

This will be at least the third time I've had to post it.

    http://miamiherald.typepad.com/dolphins_in_depth/2013/11/about-that-voice-mail-again-.html

It changes the entire tone of the VMs. This is akin to me trying to sue you for defamation of character because of the chicken ****er stuff at the end of your last video. It was a joke by you and I knew it. I doubt you'd be as sympathetic if i 6 months later, started saying you were serious about that stuff.

To much editing and missing information in this already, do note the original VM to transcript message being edited..will not be mentioned by those trying to drive this story.

Zing! I tried to find her online because I seriously didn't know he had a sister, and I still couldn't find her anywhere on social media. I looked through some dedications in his father's written textbooks on Amazon and one says, (in effect), "To Moose and Sarah".

Moose is Jonathan, I assumed Sarah was his sister.

This scandal is bringing out some serial killer-y tendencies in me.. but I need some new lampshades anyways.

Complete and utter horse****. You're just saying words without anything behind them. There's been no evidence up to this point, that Martin was bullied. There has been tons of evidence that he wasn't.

No, that is what you want that argument to be.

As far as the other questions, they are borderline invalid. Your scenario about friends doesn't take into account Martin and Incognito's personalities. It shifts the responsibility to me and my friends, which is a completely different dynamic. Not really a fair question, in my opinion. The way I talk to my friend's and what they expect from me, doesn't necessarily parallel Martin and Cogs' expectations. And clearly, those two don't parallel each other's.

I will say though, that calling someone the racial slurs that Cogs did, doesn't really need context to be considered wrong. Neither does the text messages about Martin's family. I haven't seen any links about edited or manipulated voicemails. As far as I know, no one has actually listened to there, just been given a transcript. If the article is there though, I am more than happy to read it for myself and make my own determination. But clearly you have read this article and can gist how these were manipulated, as you state, no? And I have also heard nothing on how the money was debunked. Did Martin NOT give thousands of dollars to a Vegas slush fund? We are basing the debunkment on what? Lydon Murtha's column, a former college teammate of Incognito's who claims he doesn't have a dog in this race? Forgive me if I don't exactly consider him a pristine source.

If you have another avenue to travel down though, I am more than happy to hitch a ride.

Just some quick thoughts, whomever sent a text message like that is too stupid to be on the team. Its mind boggling anyone , whether malicious or because they are high on meth would voluntarily leave a digital trail of that magnitude . CRAZY

My second thought is I can't wait to see the Incognito apologist explain this one away (whomever wrote it) as boys will be boys...LOL c'mon now. This is a kill shot. There is no amount of playing around that would produce a text like that no matter the context.

Quote from teammate: “We are going to run train on your sister. . . . She loves me. I am going to f–k her without a condom and c– in her c—.”

Its a professional atmosphere you're not in high school, or college. Saying its a football locker room isn't an excuse for Incog's behavior or anyone for that matter. Even said in jest what he said was extremely immature and embarrassing to this franchise.

I'm not a fan of Incognito he isn't worth the headache. From everything I've read Martin has thin skin and Incognito zeroed in on that. A great teammate wouldn't rail road someone so sensitive and its kind of sad it got to the point it did.

Transcript being edited means the basis for your opinion is faulty at best until the actual VM is released, ie, you are being manipulated.

You really haven't paid a bit of attention to this.

Everyone on the team has said that by all appearances Martin and Cogs were friends. Cogs thought he could joke with Martin the way you joke with friends. If your friend never told you or hinted that he was upset, you'd have no idea and you'd still think you were joking around.

There's nothing wrong with the source and I sincerely doubt you read the article yet you're passing judgement of it. i challenge you to read the article.

So you're just going to keep repeating the same thing over and over?

Why did Hartline, Tannehill, Wake, Starks, Jerry, Clabo, Grimes, etc. all say it was normal stuff if it wasn't acceptable?

That quote wasn't attributed to Incognito, but rather a "teammate".

So it's either Martin is declaring war on the whole team OR it reinforces that he was being bullied by the whole team, depending on your viewpoint.

    Lets see what happens.

no, this is his layer posturing. he's using the media to sway popular opinion just as the failed attempt by the release of the transcript for the VM. the media is buying this hook line and sinker and galvanizing the organization. everyone is digging in now. Martin/media vs organization/players

it's been about timing all along.. the Martin camp didn't submit any issues until after the Phins released a statement that they had not received any information about anyone bothering JM. then the VM transcript was leaked. it's about posturing and setting up popular opinion at this point and the media is running wild with every little thing that is out there.

    Martin's lawyer respons

I think you are missing what I'm saying. I'm talking about power-lifter gyms...you know the holes in the wall with roided up clowns benching 500+ lbs and squatting 700+ lbs. This is the closest thing you'll get to an NFL weightlifting environment. That's the environment I'm talking about. I'm not talking about Bally's Total Fitness here. And yes, not only do they talk like that but sometimes you're just happy when they're not supplementing their words by throwing free weights at the walls or mirrors...or tearing tendons or nerves (seen both and it's disgusting).

Point is, everyone comes here with their own schema which dictates how they perceive situations. If you don't understand the environment, then really how could you possibly see things from their perspective?

Playing catch up now. As I was typing one response, your over zealous *** posted another. Maybe switch to decaf. I have not read the article by Armando yet as I am switching between typing in here and watching the L.A. Kings bully (pun clearly intended) the Sabres.

I HAVE read the Murtha article however, and yes, I dismiss him as an unbiased source as he claims. He simply isn't. He has bias. As I stated before, he isn't a pristine source and wasn't there this year, which is where this whole situation has mushroomed. In other words, I demand an apology for your assumption. Do it, and do it now. :tongue2:

And I love how you always start your retorts with some sort of phrasing that the other person is clearly not understanding. It's a nice tactic, but not one I really fall for too often. What you don't seem to understand is that we aren't in Martin's head and we have no idea how he took these voicemails, text messages and daily barbs he is stating he took, and if actual physical violence was happening too, as has been alleged, then we have ourselves a worse situation than now.

Clearly Martin was not okay with what was going on. And clearly Incognito thought he was. And that is where the problem lies. If I entertain your flawed friends analogy with regards to me not knowing and then becoming aware, I would say that it still counts as bullying, simply because the offended is exactly that, offended. Now, me personally, I would like to think that I would apologize and stop the activities in question (or depending on my mood, go nuclear and torch the bridge not he way out).

And maybe that is where we part ways. It sounds like we have different views on what bullying is. And that's fine, assuming its respected on both sides.

Cogs has shown no evidence that he respects any boundaries. The fact that he is saying the things he is saying, sexually assaulting women on golf courses and getting kicked off of multiple football teams for behavior related issues (along with not being terribly good at his job), is evidence of that.

So yeah, I tend to believe stories about Incognito being a turd more than say, someone like Cam Wake who doesn't ever find himself in these situations. In this case, reputation counts for something. Had Martin said he was bullied by Ryan Tannehill or Brandon Fields, it would probably cause more alarms to go off that something may not be right. But Cogs? Totally believable. Compound that with racially charged voicemails, demands for money and other offenses that have yet to come to light (that I believe will) and yeah, you have yourself a bully.

Because you heard it does not in anyway make it socially or morally acceptable in the real world. If someone said they were going to rape and gangbang my sister and impregnate her , I would seriously hurt them . I am willing to bet that 99.9% of nfl players would agree that the last round of comments go waaaaaay over the line no matter what the context , no matter if they are laughing while they said it .

You know who else is going to agree with me ? Goodell and the nfl and Stephen Ross , just wait and see.
I can't wait for the house to be cleaned . A once legendary proud franchise reduced to this moronic and vicious tabloid crap. I am going to enjoy seeing Jeff Mediocre-land pack up and go .

You realize all you have is your word that it's unacceptable right? Same value as what I've seen.

Ooooo Goodell the guy who destroys the Patriots cheating evidence but will have no problem showing our dirt to the world. If he's not Jesus 2.0 idk what is.

People are so sensitive. I've honestly said and heard worse from friends. Nothing is sacred anymore to people who aren't hurt by scary words.

Wrong there are laws in America that govern work place environment . So it's not just me saying its unacceptable .
If you work ( I don't know if you are retired or a student etc so not trying to be funny ) go to your co worker tomorrow and tell them your going to gang bang their sister and hit their mother in the mouth and take a dump in their mouth...let us all know of it goes for you .

While I mostly agree with you, Mk, if the person slick was approaching was a guy he'd known for a year, and spent a ton of time with in the field and in office meetings, and they had joked back and forth in this style on a daily basis for over a year, with that guy laughing about it regularly... I don't know that it would go that badly.

Now, that doesn't mean I support Incognito. Let's be clear on that. To be honest, the moment I deserted Incgnito's cause was when I heard what he did to that girl. Reprehensible.

As regards the bullying thing, I need more information.

These rules also don't apply when it's two adult friends joking with each other. In this case somehow 6 months later it became an issue. Totally normal right?

The question that needs to be answered is why is Jon Martin the only one? Cogs is a 10 year vet, this is the first time a teammate has said anything of this nature. Pouncey, Jerry, clabo, these guys all deal with him just as much. Nobody else on this team is making these claims or joining Martin. And think about it, this story is so big that they could if they wanted. Just one player joining Martin would probably blow this hole situation wide open. egnew reveals the team was horrible to him last year and agrees with Martin? Imagine how damning that would be to Miami?

Dallas Thomas is a guy I'd love to hear from. Rookie who hasn't even been activated for a game yet. I'd imagine he gets ripped apart by his teammates. (Ironically I bet Martin has joined in)

But as of right now, it's just Martin...he's alone in this

Exactly. One of my best friends whom I'd worked with like 10 years ago is an Italian who looks Jewish or Mexican and I'm German. Let's just say the racial jokes are an everyday occurrence and nobody's family or gf is off-limits. We once joked that while his gf at the time was in Panema for a summer that she was constantly getting railroaded by the locals so idk what to tell you.
