I would venture to say it is probably better than what is currently near the team.... Thank you for adding a word to my vocabulary though
I would have added homophobic and or bigot in there, at the risk of that being too pofo-y. I despise that ******* in any event.
This is a good thing. I don't like the idea of Dungy coaching the Dolphins because I think it's time to move toward a guy known to be a little tougher, but Dungy will bring credibility to this task force. We all know he has a reputation for helping guys clean up their lives/careers and is held in very high esteem by the league. If Goodell sees that Ross is bringing Dungy in on this, it could help their image and hopefully lessen the punishment. At this point I'm worried about losing a high draft pick. That will cripple the new GM, and while it would be a ridiculous punishment, I think it's very much on the table right now. Bringing Dungy in could help prevent that.
This is a telling quote IMO: That tells me Dungy won't be completely on a high horse with this. He seems to realize some of this is typical locker room stuff.
Right, who wants superbowl winning coaches anywhere near the mediocre mess that is this current Dolphin team. It amazes me how some of you can defend the circus act that has become this team while trashing those who have actually accomplished something in the NFL. Homerism at it's finest.
Dungy is very done with coaching in the NFL, and I believe he will add heft to the cmte What I dislike is when you assemble "personalities" and not investigators, they tend to have their own agendas outside of just doing the investigation.
Do you think Dungy has an agenda?I think what most of the people have in common that have been reached out to is that they want to restore Miami to football royalty.
So that precludes them from having pertinent insight? Do you consider Shula a media personalty? He certainly is a personality but if he is that it would be way down his list of what he is known for.
Wouldn't term this an investigation personally . Input from smart , successful football people about football matters makes sense to me . Having most of them passionately love this franchise and wanting to restore the luster is a positive to me .
When they come to differing opinions and toss the whole thing in Ross's lap it will once again release another crap storm and finger pointing. Ross has to put on his big boy pants and make his own decisions.
Exactly the point , and he will make that decision with input from people from whom he values their opinions and expertise. Never wanted nor trusted Parcell's or Ireland's direction , and we have seen where that has taken this team. We need the right person making football decisions and leading the direction correctly for this team , imo we have not had for a long time. Ross needs to make the right decision and hopefully he gets valuable insight from those he has reached out to ... this time .
Your signature saying reminds me of a great Pretenders song ( they covered it ) , Thin Line Between Love and Hate .... kind of fitting for dolfans these days.
Not specifically no - but he will use his position and fame to support organizations that will fight to oppress and deny rights to others. He's a despicable person and he should always have to be called on his disgusting "morality". I'd rather not have him around.
I think he heard rumors about Martin being "soft" and different and assumed he may be gay, and felt like there was some evil he could do in this situation he simply couldn't resist. I imagine it looked a lot like a scene from the Grinch who stole Christmas, except with way more repression and tinsel.
He deserves all the hate he gets. Keep his homophobia and hardcore Christian "values" FAR away from this organization.
I guess it is quite evident who the real hateful ones are. Nobody in their right mind has ever accused Dungy of being hateful. He is probably the warmest, kindest NFL coach ever. Frankly, I think he rode Peyton Mannings coattails to success, but the things being said in this thread are perverse.
He took a pretty awful Tampa franchise and made them relevant. He might not have won the Super Bowl with them, but he had plenty of success with the bucs.
if i had a wish available that wish would be that you stop giving away this stupid nick names for ****ing sakes, do you know all these guys in real life that you can do that, it looks so elementary school like...its almost close to ignore level by now...so disgusting
I don't get crucifying Dungy and then selecting Pouncey as the best draft pick and it is ok he supports a POS like Hernandez. That is ok? Sure he has been a good to great player but Dungy was at least as accomplished as a coach n'est pas? if we are going that route let's not be selective.
