Cheating is a bad excuse for not being prepared & properly adjusting at the right time.

It would be, if the team didn't have an actual history of cheating. Maybe you didn't notice how the league actually went after the Pats for...get this....cheating. You may also notice that since then, the Pats just can't seem to win the big one, in spite of fielding superior teams to their SB ones.

I know their history and the story behind it. I just think that teams in the NFL should be able to overcome it by being prepared and adjusting at the right time.

I don't consider them losing the SB cus of cheating. I see that as karma, being out played and the other team getting lucky at the right moment.

How do you adjust your entire terminology at half time when you don't know the other team knows it?

very good point which I have no answer to right now. Change your terminology around. Every team has video of each game that is played & can hear the calls by the QB. You need to do a good job of changing it around. Bring in the bug sniffing team to sniff out all the bugs in the locker room, sorry too much spy movies. I get the "once a cheat, always a cheat" philosophy but I feel it's a poor excuse. If you know someone is going to do it, then learn how to stop it. Prepare a head of time for it.

Take the high scoring game against the Texans in which they mentioned something about cheating. Both sides of the ball were scoring at will, the defense failed them in that game mostly. There could be other reasons but all I remember about it is it being a very high scoring game in which the defense failed to stop the offense.

" you guys held a sale giving folks their money back for buying a murderes jersey, awww bravo to you New England, I think we should do specials and interviews to how great the "patriot way is"""

Where's the story that there must be some weakness in the system for not being able to identify a gun trafficker and murderer.

Edelman is a #1 by need, he is having a good year but look who is throwing to him.
Amendola simply cannot stay healthy and he is not having a good year, your team overpaid.
Thompson and Dobson are nothing special(at this point in their development)

This is not a corps of very good or outstanding WRs. This is a group of 4s, 5s and 6s
I know this because my team has been in this situation last year.

Collie has never had more than 600 yards in a season, he is injury prone and thus not reliable.
He is a #4 at best.

You seem to be in the minority regarding your team. Many die hard Patriot fans that I know are quite worried that their team just sqeaked by the last 3 weeks, and two of those teams are NOT very good. You cant possibly feel overly confident that the Patriots are going to breeze through the playoffs. You already mentioned that you guys are playing for a championship and the playoffs didnt even start yet. Keep dreaming if you think your team is unbeatable.

And,for the record I dont buy none of that " I come in peace" nonsense. If you werent looking for a confrontation you wouldnt be here. Especially with your thread title.

We beat the likes of the Denver Broncos and New Orleans Saints this season. Are we really suppose to fear the Dolphins? Yes, we've lost Gronk - but he was a nonfactor in the passing game in our first meeting.

A lot is made about the Fins success in recent weeks. Let's consider their opponents:

Cincinnati: this was the only impressive win
Tampa Bay: you lost to a team we dismantled earlier in the year
San Diego: a very inconsistent team that is sub 0.500
Carolina: you lost to them at home; we lost to them on the road
NYJ: we split with them but they seem to have gone on a downward spiral since then
Pittsburgh: we crushed them a few weeks ago

And this nonsense about the refs being responsible for our record is silly. The refs cost us two games (Carolina, NYJ) this year on calls which the league later admitted the officials were wrong.

You can keep saying that we are vulnerable without Gronk (and it's true that we would be better with him in the lineup) but we still find ways to win. People were saying that we may not even win the division at the beginning of the year because of all our losses over the offseason. Yet here we are at 10-3, about to clinch the AFCE. Oh and we were 5-1 without Gronk.

  16. No you are a troll. You are not debating you are trying to bait members here with your inflammatory choice of words. Must be frustrating that nobody here is playing your game with you.

Only in section 312, article 21 copyrighted index which states:

Any player who is a member of the New England Patriots shall be benefitted with a call in their favor when a defensive player makes a legal reach for a thrown ball. Such calls will be enforced with authority if/but not limited to :

    a) the Patriots are on there final drive of the game.
    b) the Patriots are trailing in the ballgame.
    c) the Patriots do not have the luxury of timeouts during the aforementioned final drive while trailing.

    Well, there you have it.

In your own house your "HOF QB GOD" threw 100 yards and rocked a mid 60s QBR. Soooo impressive. But he's going to do SO MUCH better based on.......what? hopes and dreams? because it's not statistics from this season; we know that much. Oh you beat some teams? That's cool. You had to have the refs aid in beating the browns. THE BROWNS.....

incase you didn't see it the first time....
    THEBROWNSTHEBROWNSTHEBROWNSTHEBROWNS. Unreal. :sidelol:

Yeah bro, poor New England doesn't benefit from calls. Lmfao. Thank god the pats fans I know personally don't have their head up their ***.

Literally we threw a lead against you because we abandoned the run, and the refs gave you two of the most bogus calls that the world has ever seen (which you won't acknowledge as such because deep down you know its true. batting the ball? for f***ing real? I expect as much from bostoners.).

I don't care if you have gronk or not. He was covered fairly well last game by a rook and was HARDLY the reason we lost. Either way, I sincerely and I mean SINCERELY hope you guys go into this game thinking its a free win. Please please please mark this one as "easy". Again, Just Make sure you come back to the forum afterwards please (you won't)

It is SO obvious that you guys are fearful of this game its getting comical. Since when do Pats fans come here during an upcoming game? How about never. You`s are here for the sole purpose of trying to convince yourselves that your team is dominant. So, keep on with your stats and ridiculous reasoning if it makes you feel better. We all know whats going on here. Pathetic.

Denver continued running the ball with their 24-0 lead and they are a far superior team than the Fins. They still lost.

Brady's performance in the first game was an anomaly. As a Dolphins fan who has seen Brady shred your defense year in and year out, you should be well aware of this. If you are expecting Brady to have a similar performance, you will be disappointed. Over the last 5 games, no QB has passed for more yards than Brady. Losing Gronk will hurt, but having a healthier and more involved Vereen as well as hopefully getting Dobson and/or Thompkins back will negate some of that loss.

Again, we've beaten far superior teams this year.

Balls, you guys reek of insecurity here. And, I said coming HERE during an upcoming game when you never did before. ...Wait, can it be, yes, yes I believe it is. You guys find the need to gain some confidence since the Dolphins are primed to kick your ***. If you DID NOT fear this game YOU wouldn't be here. Were you guys talking nonsense in a Texans forum or a Browns forum ? I didn't think so.

QBR in the 80s. And he has had multiple games with a lower QBR than the game against the dolphins. Totes "Anomaly", yo.

QBR is a worthless stat. Over the last 5 games his official QB rating: 151.8, 91.2, 107.4, 104.8, 91.7. With 12 TDs and 3 INTs.

    "We've beat far superior teams"

Okay then. I can throw out completely irrelevant stats/game history too.

Your two games vs the jets. Loss 27-30 in OT (53 QBR). and a 13-10 win (71 QBR). How underwhelming. -- Whereas we curb stomped their brains into the pavement with our eyes closed.

Your game vs Cinci. Loss. 6-13. (rofl). (52 QBR). -- Whereas Tanny played great, our D played lights out in OT and got a walk off sack. Hard time that game?

You cannot base how you are going to do against team "A" because of how good you did against teams B, C, and D. We, however, are basing it off your last performance against US in your OWN HOUSE. Far far far from an 'anomaly'.

We didn't even start playing until the second half. You were up 17-3 and then got thoroughly dominated. I know you may think that the first half domination was largely due to the way you played, but it had far more to do with us than it did with you. We were shut down by the Browns last week, we trailed the Texans the week before, etc. We just haven't shown up in the first half of games for whatever reason. When we started playing you couldn't keep up. Heck, even the Broncos couldn't keep up.

BTW the Jets gave us a very close hard fought game last year (when supposedly we had a much more dominant team) at home. It took OT to beat them. Then we humiliated them in their house (butt fumble.)

Thanks to the refs. Illegal batting for attempting a fumble recovery?

No you don't understand. Even though Tammy Brady had a 60 QBR with 100 yards passing in game one at home, hes going to have a 150 QBR with 6 touchdowns and 500 yards in game 2 against us. Just because.

    No need for facts/statistics here.

And even though he's had a lower QBR in other games and played even WORSE than that at times, the first game against us was an "anomaly".

Not to mention the Refs never ever help the poor poor mistreated Patriots. It happens to everyone right? an illegal batting of the ball penalty when diving/reaching for a fumble? That happens every week, no?

How many teams with winning records have the Patriots beaten away from Gillette this year? How many games have the Patriots won away from Gillette this year? How many games have the Patriots won this year by more than 10 points?

Many Fins fans (not sure if you are included, but I would not be surprised) have brought up the fact that their team has improved over the past 5 or so games. This opinion is based on facts/statistics over the course of those 5 games. Similarly, I showed with facts/statistics over the course of the last 5 Pats games, that our offense has greatly improved. The difference being that our schedule over the course of those games included the #1 seed in our conference which we beat.

Both teams have evolved (for better or for worse) since that first game. However, if you want to delve deeper into it, let's go for it:

Brady had 116 yards, 1 TD, and 1 INT. But he only threw the ball 22 times with a completion rate of 59% and a yards per attempt of 5.3. Tannehill on the other hand had 192, 2 TD, and 2 INT. But he threw the ball 42 times for a completion rate of 52% and a yards per attempt of 4.6. Brady, even despite an unBrady-like performance, was still more efficient than your QB.

Our defense totaled 6 sacks, 2 INT, 1 FF, and allowed only 3.8 yards per offensive play. Not to mention that they completely shut you down in the second half.

We won the game comfortably by 10 points after being down by 14. You can whine and complain all you want about one penalty (which wasn't even a blown call) but you were dominated in the second half on both sides of the ball. Our D was not going to let you put up any points.

Of the 3 games we lost all were on the road. We lost to Cincy by 7, to the Jets by 3 in OT (but since bad officiating is a valid excuse for losing on this forum, we can chalk that one up to a bad call) and we lost by 4 on another bad call to the top rated D in Carolina (on which we were able to move the ball very well.)
