Beaten in every phase of the game, and looking for new phases to get beaten in. What was done to OL and run defense is illegal in several states. Ellerbe and Wheeler: Nice job Jeff.... Sam Brenner: It was nice while it lasted.
Actually the Bills defensive line is one of the best in the entire NFL. Perhaps you missed the fact that the Bills lead the NFL in sacks and that was even before the seven sacks they had against the Dolphins today. The defense of the Bills hasn't been the problem this year. They were just inconsistent on offense and they didn't show up for every game they played, just as the Dolphins didn't show up today. The fact is that if the Bills get good play from the QB position next year, they have a lot of talent on their roster and it wouldn't surprise me if they don't end up being a bigger threat to the Patriots in the AFC East than the Dolphins are next year.
The sad thing about being a dolphins fan is that you know what's coming. Disappointment is essentially guaranteed. As soon as Moore hit that huge bomb I turned to my gf and said "now he's going to throw a pick." There's always a let down. Never good enough to win when it matters.
That's what happens when you have an OC that puts far too much faith in a mediocre QB. Tannehill was awful, made bad reads all day long, and it only got worse by players like Thomas being on the field and not doing anything. Buffalo is great against the pass, horrible against the run, and this game is in a monsoon. It's a no-brainer...turn Miller loose between the tackles and let Tannehill get mobile with the read-option. Coaching blew the first point, and Tannehill's repeated hand offs despite the DT crashing down on Thomas sealed the deal.
Yes I'm surprised I thought it was a good idea to spend 16 of my last 24 hours in a car to see an embarrassment like that. Genuinely feel bad for myself and all of dolphins fan nation that supported and believed in this team. They better pray then do their job next week and get some luck and get in. I'm not asking for a superbowl just a step in the right direction.
We are an immature team. We can't handle a big win. And we are bad off bi weeks and long weeks too. That's a sign of bad coaching, and I'm a an of Philbin. But today was a disgrace. I did not think we would win 10 games. I thought the loss would be against NE to be honest. Getting swept by the Bills is a huge embarrassment. But I thought this would be a dogfight until week 17.
I am surprised we got swept by BUF....and (3rd string QB).....but the taste could be removed by SWEEPING the Jets. That would make we dismiss the BUF issues with a pffft..worth it attitude.
Winning today based on CIN winning would not have clinched anything (as a MIA win would only have clinched if both BAL and CIN lost)...but would have had a far better taste in our mouth getting ready for NYJ. In week 17 we need BAL to lose once again....just like they are hoping we lose....our insurance is SD winning next week. FOR ANYONE INTERESTED: If the Dolphins lose, they cannot make the playoffs. If there’s a four-way tie at 8-8 between Miami, San Diego, Baltimore and the Jets (who, by beating the Dolphins, would be 8-8), Baltimore wins the Wild Card. If there’s a five-way tie between those teams and the Steelers, Pittsburgh would win the final spot in the playoffs.
Really, what's there to be surprised about, Buffalo tallied its first shutout in over two years - and first at Ralph Wilson Stadium since a 21-0 win over Miami on Dec. 17, 2006. HISTORY REPEATING ITSELF
This. Hoping we are about to turn a corner (next year) but sadly have come to expect nothing less over the years. Doesn't keep me from hoping though.
I'd like to say its because of the New Logo............But we have sucked long and hard for a while now.
Dunno how long you been a fan, but it's your own fault if you get your hopes built up too much when it comes to this team. Better take a "show me" approach.
Doesn' tmatter because there record overall is pathetic and to lose the way they did leaves no room for excuses. I can understand if a team is getting beaten up but still beats Buffalo, like the other 9 teams or so that have done that to them but to not only lose but lose in a manner that Miami did today, that is just unreal.
No. If ever there was a team built to be the nemesis of this years Dolphins it was the Bills. The Phins who have been dependent on Tannehill and the passing attack to carry them (with occasional guest appearance of the running game) and who lead the league in sacks surrendered, against the Bills - league leaders in sacks, 2nd in ints and 3rd in QB rating against (after today). A more balanced team might have fared better but this one dimensional Dolphins team much as I hoped they could pull something out after the last couple of weeks - not really a shock unfortunately.
I'm not surprised we lost. I am surprised with the way it went down. I expected this to be a close game (because Dolphins 2013) which could go either way. This was a crushing defeat though. They dominated us for the entire game. It's a disappointing feeling that we now need help to make the playoffs. I'd love to see a Dolphins playoff game this year, but my confidence in the team is pretty shot. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
What will surprise me is if they don't get rid of every starter on the o-line, save Pouncey, in the offseason.
surprised we couldnt score even 1 point against buffalo? yeah, i am shocked as hell. mike sherman should be shot in the f**king temple. how dumb can one man be...
Once again I feel betrayed by this team. Ever since Shues left, this team has left me hanging at times, when you think they are turning the corner. This is just another example. We put the pasties in their place, we beat a Pitts team that was really hot and then we play a team we should beat and lay an egg. Once again. I'm not belittling the jills, but we should have beaten them. Maybe because Philbin is so even tempered it causes them to not be ready for certain games, but geez, this is a game they should have been ready for, even if the staff wasn't. They were not. I don't know that it's the staff or if it's the overall quality of players we have or the Martin-gate thing finally being caught up or what, but I'll tell you this much. I have NO confidence that we'll beat the jests and at least give ourselves a shot at getting into the playoffs. It would be a real shame for us to lay yet another egg against the jests and have Cincy whup up the Ravens, as it appears right now they will.... It's pretty disgusting to be a DolFan right now....
We aren't gonna lay an egg vs the Jets. Look at half the teams fighting for a spot..they layed eggs. Baltimore did so at home. The loss to Buffalo in Buffalo?? Prffff what ever. Dont lose sleep over it. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
As much as it's needed - I wouldn't be surprised if wholesale changes are NOT made. Changes will be made of course, but wouldn't surprise me if they keep some or most of the current guys. Look at the Bears The past 2-3 years (excluding this year). Their line was atrocious - cutler would get HAMMERED every time is see them play...or he was running for his life. Seemed the obvious glaring weekness, yet for multiple years they did nothing to address their piss-poor line, and cutler continued to get crushed. that happens to Tannehill for multiple years, it may ruin him.
Not surprised at all, this team is a pretender. We don't deserve to be in the playoffs and would only be one-and-done if we do get in. That hurt so bad to type, but it is time for honesty.
Ya if you completely forget that we already beat Indy, Cincy, and NE then we're totally a 1 and done. Ignorance is the best bliss on the market.
1. We beat all three at their weakest, look at that a little closer 2. And frankly we were lucky to get each one of those wins Smoke & mirrors, if we played each of those teams in a three or five game series, I would make book we would lose all but maybe one game against each one. Ignorance is using a sampling that ignores the facts.
lol Like your, "facts" that lack any info, right. Ya anyone who makes up their own facts never has room for ignorance
Luck plays a major part when it comes to winning and losing in the NFL. I linked an article that showed the variance of luck is responsible for approximately 52.5% of the outcomes in the NFL. Miami, Indianapolis, and Buffalo are all 4-4 against teams with winning records this year. Cincinnati is 3-3 against teams with winning records. Cincinnati is 7-2 against teams with losing records. Indianapolis is 6-1. Miami is 4-3. Good teams take care of business against weaker opponents. The fact that Miami is 4-3 against these opponents shows that they are not much better than them from a skills standpoint, and variance has dictated a lot of their 4-4 record vs winning teams and 4-3 record vs losing teams.
Luck is a victim of his OC in the same way Tannehill is. Both of their OCs defuse to play to the strengths of their offense. Both will be much better off when that zit is popped.
