Interesting news of the Batman/Superman movie to start filming, kind of, this weekend: http://www.superherohype.com/news/articles/179785-superman-vs-batman-to-film-in-los-this-weekend
There are rumors that both Wonder Woman and Dick Greyson will have cameos in the Batman vs. Superman movie. Hopefully we start to hear more news about casting soon since filming starts in January.

The Daredevil director's cut isn't actually that bad, minus the ever stupid playground "battle" with Electra. And really I didn't think Affleck's performance in that movie was that bad or the problem with the film. Either way he's a different guy now then he was. You can't compare the early 2000s Affleck to the Affleck now, he's improved so much. Affleck is at a point in his career where he can pick and choose almost whatever he wants now, he's looked at as a highly respectable director and actor now so he's not going to make a movie just for the payday (unlike Robert Deniro now for example). I believe him when he says if he didn't think the movie was going to be good or if he was going to be good in it he wouldn't have taken the role. Now just because he thinks the movie will be good and he'll be good in the role doesn't mean it will be but it's not like he's taking a role in "Scary Movie 12" where we all expect it to be crap.
I cant help but think this movie is going to be terrible. Just make a justice league film if that's what they really want.
Yeah it certainly feels "crowded". Really wish they just made a straight up sequel to Man of Steel, which I still say was a very good movie. Unfortunately because it didn't reach WB's projects at the box office they want to shoe horn Batman etc. into it. Really a shame.
A pseudo justice league movie to pave the way for an actual JL movie? lol, I don't even... Fact is, unlike Marvel, not every DC character in the JL is going to have their own film. So just get on with it. Batman making an extending cameo in Man of Steel 2 is gimmicky. Adding in Wonder woman, and it's getting dumb. It's not even a real sequel anymore... again, a pseudo JL film to jump start a real JL film. Yawn...
So disappoint. Can't have an anorexic play the #3 item in my spank bank. Sent from my Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk 4

He has passed on a few comic book roles in the past, most notably The Joker in TDK, but word is he is very good friends with Ben Affleck so WB is hopeful he can talk him into it. Also one of the writers from Argo has been signed on to help write/rewrite the script. Again the more and more I hear about the project the more concerns I have. It just seems like this movie is being pieced together way too quickly.
Finally got around to seeing the Cavill Superman. Hated it. Decent casting, but the movie blowed. Hated the flashbacks every few mins. Felt like it was made for Lifetime channel.
Married with kids. I suffer thru a lot of crap... Still, why can't they make a good Superman? The last one was better tho worst casting of Superman.
Batman vs. Superman has been pushed back until May 6, 2016 as Ben Affleck hurt his leg and it will cause a delay in production for about 6 weeks. Personally I think this is good news as the whole movie seemed extremely rushed.
I saw "Man of Steel" and actually liked it a lot more than I thought I would. I've never been a huge fan of Superman, but I found this telling entertaining.
I liked Man of Steel quite a bit. Casting was good. Cavill was good enough. Amy Adams did a fine acting job, but despite it happening two movies in a row, I struggle with a Lois Lane that doesn't have black hair. It's like making superman a blonde
I doubt it will be only one villain. You'll need Luthor to make Metallo. And Lex Luthor has never been portrayed correctly on the big screen anyway.
Just watched the latest WB animated film "Justice League War". Its based off the new 52 series of Justice League comics, and sets up the origin of the JLA. It's pretty good, and pretty much in sync with the comic. With a few minor changes this could have been the perfect script for a live action JLA movie. Sent from my iPhone5S using Tapatalk - now Free
Exactly. And if the rumors are true, the Rock will be playing Luthor. That's all kinds of win. The Rock is a perfect villain. Given all the horrible (IMO) news, that strikes me as a huge light at the end of the tunnel.
I respect the Rock, but he has no business playing Lex Luthor. Metallo? Sure. But not Luthor. There's only one man that should play Luthor and I don't know why it isn't happening..... Spoiler
I would love him to play Luthor. But it's doesn't appear to be happening for some strange reason. If the Rock is cast as Luthor, I wouldn't sell him short.
My point is that, early on, Superman was given Luthor and Brainiac as adversaries because they matched up to Superman in ways that other villains didn't; they were smarter. It was brilliant; take nothing from Superman, but now his brawn is up against guys who can neutralize it with smarts and conniving. And that formula worked splendidly from 1940 for Luthor (Detective Comics #23) and 1958 for Brainiac (Action Comics #242) to the end of the bronze age in the early '80s. Decades. 'Pacific Rim' was a pretty good action flick, but its fatal flaw was lazy conceptualizing; the premise was that they went to the trouble and expense of building these great, huge and powerful machines, so that they could...throw punches. PUNCHES. Now the Rock is Luthor, which means (I'm betting) that this present incarnation of the character will use his evil genius to either give himself strength and invisibility to equal Superman's, or build himself a suit that accomplishes the same...so they can throw punches at each other. Luthor as a villain in post-'70s Superman visual media is WAY played out to begin with, what with the character's banal real-estate scams; but if they now reduce the character and his potential to the Scorpion King in a metal suit, it's going to flop so big that it will kill many, if not most of the superhero movies in the pipeline. A villain worthy of this World's Finest team-up? Darkseid. Created for DC Comics by the great Jack Kirby in 1970, he is the greatest villain never to have been represented in his full glory on the big screen.
As much as I would absolutely LOVE seeing Darkseid as a villian in a real hero movie, he's a galactic villain, and almost seems like a mismatch for Batman. If DC ever got their S$$$ together for a JLeague movie, Darkseid would be perfect, then Batman wouldn't be as inappropriate.
That's pretty much the problem in any Batman/DC live action team up movie, the fact that Batman is a human without any superpowers makes him a mismatch against any hero or villain. That's why I think making a Batman/Superman or a JL movie is a mistake. Batman should be in his only seperate universe fighting is own villains.
