Just wanna start the day with this, if you have any respect for me then this is an opinion that I respect who does a tremendous amount of research on the draft, and has a very good record. I thought it was interesting about the ". Football players" part, and the impact that Jarvis Landry, Turner and James could have.
Who is that quote from? Also, Philbin always says he wants football players. these are the kinds of guys he means. This means, as of right now, the GM & the HC are the on exact same page. Only good can come of this.
Hickeys finally getting his shot. Heres hoping he never needs another shot again...and continues to do this well for the next decade. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
Of the two, Landry almost always looked superior to beckham. I'm a little shocked just how high beckham went. I love my tigers, but whoa. 40 times and verticals skyrocketed him, and hurt Landry. The comparisons to boldin make sense. Obviously boldins much bigger, but they both had awesome college careers with highlight reels for days and then they both ran a 4.7 at the combine. I already have a bet with a friend of mine whose a giants fan that Landry will have the better rookie season.
If I had to pick 5... DT Caraun Reid LB Yawin Smallwood FB Jay Prosch CB Loucheiz Purifoy RB/WR Marion Grice
Love ya Deej, disagree on Ireland, think he did draft "football players" and did so well, his problem was a lack of vision, he was forever playing catch up and he also assumed his draftees would pan out quickly. I think Ireland's Miami Legacy will be Wake, Tannehill, and Jordan and Bline Also have to point out, put the last names into historical context, James, Landry, i find that very funny
the jets , Bills and pats have all picked twice since Miami has last picked. not good when our rivials have received more draft picks .
You know watching the Seahawks, Niners and Rams continue to stock up more and more I'm glad we are in the AFC.
You know..I wonder if when all is said and done..2014 goes down historically as the best draft ever as far as players making an impact across the NFL as a whole. I just cant remember ever it being so deep across the board. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
And the Cards won 10 games last year and have one of the best coaches in the League. lol. That division is so, so brutal.
My opinion is Hickey is getting out played in the draft. I believe his targeted players are getting snaked away, which happens. However, my opinion is he has adjusted VERY well and picked qualified players to fit our needs. It makes it look like he has done nothing but reach because the picks are just that. Not much of a choice when you try to position yourself to fit the value per round but cant find a suitable trade deal/partner. Still think we should of gotten Cooks with our 1st Rd.
I think Landry jives better with Tannehills style. Tannehill can lead a team up and down the field, but he's not highly rated for the deep ball and that's ok.
Wasn't that long ago it was trash. Pete carrolls first year they made the playoffs at 7-9. All it takes is 1 or two drafts...
Well..hard to say. I feel like we landed 3 players who make us better in 2014. Ive heard some say..its almost like we have 2 draft classes this year...in that last years draft class never really saw the field. I do believe we got some very goof players last year...but Philbin didnt play them much. Now..can you imagine if this year..those players and this years draft class make a marked impact. Folks..we could be in for a very rewarding season. It just feels different. Seems like there is purpose and focus. Sometimes...**** just happens when its meant to. Id like to think thats how we ended up with Hickey. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
I agree. A breath of fresh air at the very least, even if its the smell of "sometimes **** happens". Ireland was just a bad energy in almost everything he did.
Def good picks but I was actually happy you guys didn't take cooks. I feel you needed cooks more than pryor.
