Dude, I think the same, what if Lebron is up for the challenge to be the first player on a team to win being down 3-1 to be apart of history,

If the Heat wins game 5 then the Heat should be angry for letting two home games slip so they should win 6, then 7 is anyone's game with the Heat having momentum.

Lebron can be up to the challenge all he wants its not a one on one game. The Heat have to actually believe they can do it ( Heat refers to the team not just Lebron)

If our young QB takes those big year 3 strides than we can easily make the playoffs. Truth be told we SHOULD'VE made it last year. Nothing like yellow Cheerios for breakfast.

That's the problem. It's "should've made it" over the last decade. With the exception of the 11-5 season. Even that was aided by Brady being out all year. Untill they make it, I refuse to get my hopes up.

I'm going to do an ancient voodoo ritual tonight to summon the spirit of LeBron without a headband. I'm not sweating being down 1-3.

Seems more likely than coming back from a 3-1 lead to me. But apparently not many agree.

Other teams can talk **** about Heat fans and how we suck and whatever. However they can never say the die hard among us don't bleed this team and believe in them until it's done.

Every team has those types of fans. People are idiots to think that Miami is the only team with ****ty fans.

I'm just being realistic, I really do hope we defy history and win the series... It just isn't likely though.

You're right it isn't the most likely outcome. However when I consider it....how many of the other 31 teams that have been in this position were as good as we are at our best? Not many.

To have any shot we need to play three games of the best Heat basketball we can muster. If they come out strong early game five I'll feel really good about our chances. If we look pretty much the same but squeak out a win because the Spurs are cold I won't feel as good about it.

no team has ever done it, the dolphins almost made it with drama and 58 sacks allowed last year, its not about the heat anymore, its about the spurs, they will decide whats happening, i have a pretty tough time believing a popovich coached team will blow this chance in front of their home crowd, might be a blowout.....for peace consideration in this thread, i hope i'm wrong but this is the feeling that i have

In the Finals, no. But it's been done plenty of times in the playoffs, including the HEAT who came back from being down 3-1 vs the Knicks in 97.
That could be said about most seasons over the last decade, however bottom line - they didn't, and haven't in a looong time. Even that amazing 11-5 turn around, in retrospect, was a result of incredibly easy schedule, Brady being out and playing the most conservative offense in history of the league. Overexaggerating bit there, but really. They tied the record for the fewest turnovers in a season, Brady was out, played nobody and still barely made it in. Which got us stuck with Ireland, Sparano and that coaching staff for much longer than we should have. However that's an argument for a different thread.
    Ray Allen sends his regards.

Look, I'm not saying it will happen, I won't even say that I think it will happen. I am just saying that this team has showed a whole lot more resiliency and mental toughness than the Dolphins ever have in my time watching them. Dolphins team I know and Love is the one of disappointment and coming up short, while this HEAT team has been a complete opposite of that, this 4 year run is a clear evidence of that, or making moves in the early 2000s to become a contender, win a championship, spiral down, and rebuild right back up, nevermind the stability up top of the organization for over 20 years. This boils down to me having a lot more faith in HEAT than the Dolphins, with last decade being my reasoning for that.

Win game five. That is all that matters right now. We played well on the road and terrible at home, so even though they have home court Im not so sure it matters as much as just playing good basketball does. If the series is 3-2 after game five....well it was that way last year too.

seems impossible to win 3 road games in the finals imo but per chance the heat do win game 5 you would have to assume they are due one good game at home

Something that I think works in the Heat's favor is the remaining schedule. Their backs are firmly against the wall for this one, so if they're going to make a run at this they need to bring everything they've got tomorrow. For me, that means it matters a bit less where the game will be played. Assuming the Heat win tomorrow (obviously far from a given), game 6 is enormous. That is the game out of the remaining 3 I would want at home the most. That would be when the pressure ramps up on SA because they don't want to go to a game 7. Having that game in Miami I think is huge. Assuming you get to a game 7, obviously you want it at home, but at that point the Heat would have all the momentum and would have beaten SA twice in their building already. Obviously it's still very much an uphill battle, but if you told me the Spurs would get 2 home games and the Heat get 1, this is exactly how I would draw up the schedule.

We win game five IMO we win the series. This is the best chance for SA to put us away. Do it while we are on the ropes.

In other words...don't give us a punchers chance because we might knock you out.

Win or lose this series, give it to Miami for an outstanding run, proud of this Heat team, brought us Miami fans something we haven't seen from other Miami teams in a while.

Man you guys are hell of a lot more optimistic than I am haha If it were any other team than the Spurs, I might follow your thought process... but theyre one of the most disciplined teams in the league... don't see them letting up 3 games in a row.

Still pisses me off the few heat fans that actually booed the other night.

Would be worth highlighting that the team got late-minute cheers from the folks who stayed.

For this to work we can't care about them letting us win. We need to step on their throats and take it.

Noone takes our title this easy. I want 2006 or even 2010 finals D-Wade to somehow show up. Time machine?

Better chance Phins make Super Bowl than Heat winning this series IMO, it's not like the Heat are just getting unlucky...they have looked like they do not belong on the same court.

That being said?? You never know with James on the team.

Anyone who believes SA is that much better than us is ridiculous. We are just playing our worst basketball while they are playing their best. Not to say our best is worlds better than theirs, but there is a lot of room for us to move upwards in this series.

I don't even know if you can qualify it as opinion that they've been playing better basketball the last two games. That's a stone cold fact.

The question is whether the Heat are going to elevate their game to the level the Spurs are playing at. If not the Spurs break out champagne tonight.

....if they come out like that? Spurs by +20
    Again.

The most disheartening thing to me is how little fight they put up the last two games. Zero passion.

If the Spurs continue to be as hot as they were the last two games it will be very tough to win. That being said, being that hot three games in a row is difficult. The Thunder looked like they didn't belong on the same court as SA for two games then the Spurs looked like they didn't belong on the same court as OKC for the next two. Ibaka made a difference, but not THAT kind of difference. Hopefully the Spurs come back down to earth a little bit tonight, and hopefully the Heat wake up a little bit.

Champions don't go out in 5 games. Especially when they're led by the best player in the league. Heat win tonight. I expect Bosh to have a big game (he has to be good on both ends for the Heat to take this game) and Wade to at least get back on track.

I hope you're right. If the Heat win tonight I think they win six too. That would set up an epic game seven.

I am very pessimistic about tonight though.

We can't worry too much about games six and seven right now its all about taking game five and allowing ourselves to see one more home game this season.
