Our home opener is against the Jets week 2. What is the key to beat up or blowout the Jets? Their defense pretty tough or weak. How bout their main offensive threat. Will we have trouble moving the ball against them? Hopefully we beat the Jets at home. I figure I would ask since you guys know them well.

The Jet suck donkey balls, mainly because they have no QB, dominant pass rushers or shut shutdown corners.

They can run it, they can play D, but if your boy A-Rod can put a couple scoring drives together early and force them to rely on Geno Smith then it'll be lights out.

You're worried about the Jets? Don't worry about the Jets. We worry about the Jets. You don't worry about the Jets.

Losing the baby maker in A.Cromartie will force Rex to play more conservative in the back four and the one thing about his scheme is it's anything but.

Dmitri Parrterson should give them good CB play. For 4 or 5 games, 6 if their lucky.

For me it's hard to get a read on the Jets as they were very Jeckyll & Hyde last year. They alternated wins and losses their first 9 games, going 5-4. The last 3 games of that stretch was interesting to me as they beat the Patriots, then got absolutely destroyed by Cincinnati, then turned around and beat New Orleans. Then they dropped 3 straight out of the bye.

That being said, they're good against the run, and they have a very physical defense. I think with the Packers offense, simply spreading them out and distributing the ball would be my gameplan. They have some decent interior pressure-players with Wilkerson and Richardson, but there's not a true edge rusher to threaten Rodgers. I think as others have said, if you can get up early and force them to play from behind, it plays into the strengths of the Packers, especially defensively as you can unleash all of the pass-rushers and blitzes that Capers uses.

Good luck with beating the jets.
My favorite team is the Dolphins.

I'm going to say the second game of the season the Jets will be HEAVY on the ground and pound to test the running game. There's Chris Johnson added to their game plan and he should be trying to revamp his career. Let's hope Green Bays D line is rock solid and up to making the Jet's try to pass.

In what aspect if you don't mind me asking? Wilkerson is by far the better pass-rusher of the two and had more solo stops than Richardson. And statistically, Wilkerson is better categorically in just about every aspect save total combined tackles. Just curious.

Better pass rush numbers for sure, statistically better, but Sheldon was a rook, I think Sheldon had the better rookie season..Wilkerson is no joker tough, I'm just tootin Sheldon's horn as the better projected player by a little..I know I dint put that in the right context.

That's true, for a rookie he had a very good year. I was just curious. Makes sense.

What is the key to beating the Jets? Make Geno Smith throw.

scoring pointson their defense, and keeping Geno in the pocket with no outlets to throw..

At the end of the year he started using his legs more, which had positive results.
