    Nice tidbit on Landry:

"Wide receiver Jarvis Landry. After a couple of practices, backup quarterback Matt Moore approached GM Dennis Hickey and told him: “This guy’s got the best hands I’ve seen.” Landry, from LSU, is challenging touchdown-maker Brandon Gibson for playing time in the slot, but he can also play outside. Look for offensive coordinator Bill Lazor to find a role for Landry both inside and outside. Great note in the Miami Herald on Landry the other day—after the July 27 practice, he stayed afterward in the heat and humidity to catch balls fired out of the JUGS machine. Sixty balls, sixty catches. Not revolutionary, just interesting."

Ah, how many times have fans lamented guys with shaky hands not staying after practice to work on catching the ball?

    Chambers, Hagen etc

Thought DBess has the best hands I'd seen since Oronde Gadsen tbh

Did he actually watch practice? I only ask because of the lineup he came up with.

After this year I would cut Hartline and Gibson, and bring in a big receiver to compliment Wallace and Landry and another guy who could actually provide some YAC, like a Denarius Moore (FA next year).

Everything I have read in regards to Landry makes it appear that he is certainly the type of player this offense needs to build their team around.

While I have defended the play of Wallace and I think he would be a great fit for many teams in the NFL. I just don't know if he is a good fit for this offense or for Tannehill. Tannehill is much better at throwing the short or intermediate pass and struggles with the deep pass, which is what separates Wallace from most of the other WR's in the NFL.

With the money Wallace is set to earn in 2015, I just don't see him playing for the Dolphins next year unless he and Tannehill hook up on a number of deep passes this season. I think this offense will look more and more like the Packers in regards to the WR's in the future. That would make it appear that Hartline and Gibson, who both excel at the short and intermediate routes this offense calls for, are both probably better suited for this offense than Wallace is.

I think the Dolphins may look to bring in another top tier receiver in 2015, but it will probably be as a replacement for Wallace and not for Gibson or Hartline.

I really love the camaraderie and togetherness the team has. They understand that success comes from team work, not individually. Awesome to see.

You know its cliche but im catching the same vibe. Every player interviewed will talk about his position teammates. It really does sound like they are working well together from the player comments.

I hope the dismissive, negative guys that put the shackles on Landry get to reap their poor comments when the season is in full bloom. I disliked the total lop sided boo birds surrounding Landry. Parrots spring to mind.

Yeah you can sense that the camaraderie is legit. A lot of times you'll hear athletes say it because it's a positive thing to say, but with the dudes in the locker room it's real.

Other than the one year Cam Cameron was the head coach and reports came out during training camp that some of the veterans had a problem with him, I can't really remember any other training camp which didn't seem to have the same type of atmosphere as this year.

In fact every NFL team seems to have this type atmosphere prior to the season beginning. Problems with team chemistry usually show up during the season when teams don't play well and the losing begins.
Hopefully the Dolphins can maintain this support of one another once the season begins and they suffer through some losses. The true test of how a team comes together is how they respond to adversity. So while it is great that the chemistry appears great right now, I just hope it remains great throughout the entire season.

Fair point, but what other teams had to deal with the condemnation and scrutiny we did last season? I think a lot of the closeness this year stems from what happened last year.

Though you are correct that at some point adversity will come knocking and they will need to remain side by side.

    Yeah, that's pretty um...interesting?

Even more interesting because I'm pretty sure he mentioned both Billy Turner at G and Reshad Jones during his interview with the Finsiders. Heat exhaustion while writing?

Might have mixed a guy or two up, but also might have some inside info from the coaches and GM?
Turner listed at C was odd.

Yeah really. Billy Turner is competing for starting Center? He's taken zero snaps there. Is King high on refined white sugar?

I think it says something when a guy w/ great hands spends extra time working on his hands. Chris Carter had great hands and a jugs machine in his home.
