Wow lol... No Jones or Dion first four weeks... I hope our offense is ready to score lots of points cause that will be our best shot at 2-2...
I dont get it..you create a situation where this easily happens..and its not like Supplements arent a major part of a training program. Then..you suspend guys 4 games..for participating in a trap laden supplement program.
This f---ing team. Patriots (1 win since the decade began) and Bills (swept us last year) to open the year and we lose two good players because they can't control themselves (Well Pouncey got hurt, but he's still a bonehead). Maybe Jamar Taylor or Will Davis will step up...with Tom Brady coming to town its obviously a tough task. Will certainly be an interesting first few weeks.
I'm trying to grasp at something good here.... #strongerwithHGHpoppers/ABottleOfHorseTestosterone/SomeAndroOnTheSide.
with all that's out there? I doubt it. supplements are pretty unregulated. And the way they present themselves isn't much more regulated.
more of a "we know you're doing it. You know we know you're doing it. We want you to do it but won't tell you so. But we as the NFL have to give the appearance that we don't allow such things." I mean lets be real here. You think the owners of these teams dissuade their players from juicing? I doubt it.
Nobody really thinks this was by mistake, right? Jordan and Jones knew what they were taking.. Dion trying to bulk up and get stronger from his injury last season and Reshad after a down year trying to improve his game. I don't buy that they didn't know there was something against policy in their "supplements." And isn't a thing with the NFL a four game suspension is never for a first time offense with something like this, it is the second offense because the first is not reported to the public? I think Jimmy Wilson is gonna be the guy to fill in, and out of who we have to choose from I'm fine with that (I always liked him). Only thing is he will give up a big play from time to time because he'll try to do too much or go for the big play which scares me.
I think PEDs is an automatic 4 game suspension for first offense. If you get caught with dope, or some other recreational drug you go into the diversionary program and only get suspended after a 2nd failed test
Looks like the players really want to perform and win this year.. Kind of like this new attitude. Seattle was roiding out and look where they wound up.
If he plays like he did last year as one of the bottom five safeties in the league (source: PFF) it could be a plus.
No big deal. They are all juicing. Sometimes you get caught. I have a problem with the league fine. It's unwarranted.
Second thing that crossed my mind when I saw this was to check out his contract structure.... for those who were thinking the same: 2014 base salary: $2.61 million (fully guaranteed) 2015 base salary: $6.76 million (fully guaranteed) 2016 base salary: $7.23 million (not guaranteed) 2017 base salary: $7.06 million (not guaranteed) 2014 salary cap number: $3.61 million 2015 salary cap number: $7.76 million 2016 salary cap number: $8.25 million ($2 million if Jones is released) 2017 salary cap number: $8.09 million (if on team) Very small amount of guaranteed money in those last two seasons.
Suspension and Related Discipline Players with a confirmed positive test result will be subject to discipline by the Commissioner as outlined in the Policy below. Step One: The first time a player violates this Policy by testing positive; attempting to substitute, dilute or adulterate a specimen; manipulating a test result; or by violation of law (see Section 5), he will be suspended without pay for a minimum of four regular and/or postseason games. The suspension will begin on the date set in the League's notification to the player of his suspension, subject to any appeal (see Section 10). If fewer than four games remain in the season, including any postseason games for which the Club qualifies, the suspension will carry over to the next regular season, until a total of four regular and/or postseason games have been missed. If the imposition of a player’s suspension occurs prior to or during the preseason, the player will be permitted to engage in all preseason activities. Upon the posting of final rosters, however, he will be suspended for four regular-season games. You're right.. PEDs is 4 game suspension for the first offense, 8 games for second offense. I was mistaken this time. Still think they knew what they were doing regardless though.
I'm sitting here in Maui just trying to get through this tropical storm and I figured I would check out what is new with the Dolphins while I still have electricity. I was hoping for some good news and then I see the topic of this thread. It is ridiculous that another starter will now be out to begin the season because he is too ignorant to know what he is putting in his body. I'm not as high on Jones as some people on this forum, but he is better than the players backing him up. So his loss over the first four games will be a hit to the Dolphins defense. More and more it is beginning to look like another season with more losses than wins. Hopefully the offense is vastly improved this year or 5-11 or 6-10 will be about the best this team will do in 2014.
They get caught and all come up with the same lame excuses. They know EXACTLY what they put into their bodies..they know exactly whats on the banned lists...they know exactly who to check with to see if its legal. They roll the dice and hope not to get caught. They see it as part of doing business and playing in the NFL. Period
Why? 90%+ of the league is juicing. They don't care as long as you're not getting caught. Frankly, whomever is juicing these guys is an idiot. Cycles are methodically planned out to beat tests. Yet, here we are. 0-2.
If 90 percent are juicing as you say, and I'd agree plenty are, maybe not 90, then you'd figure we are better than 0-2. Just saying.
The guy isn't the sharpest tool so it doesn't suprise me.. I wish there was a stipulation in contracts that if you get caught cheating the contract is void..
There must be a mistake. I've been told numerous times that Pouncey would be the one getting suspended.
Yep, perhaps Jones and Jordan can win a beach volley ball championship during their uhm "down time" Not to concerned tbh, Coyle is many things, but his secondaries normally play really well esp w/our front 4
