The Eagles are looking great. Who knew Mark Sanchez could play so well? That bodes well for a Chip Kelly offense (and us?) that it seems it can make any QB look good. Nolan Carroll had a great INT. Brandon Graham had a few awesome rushes. The Eagles have a WR competition as tough as ours (including former fin BJ Cunningham). Jordan Matthews is having a good offseason, but i can't help but think that Jarvis Landry looks more dynamic with the ball in his hands. Shazier came back to earth tonight after balling last week. The Steelers look very beatable - good for us.
i would not buy much into it, the road team, after a week of joined practices and a game has been getting hammered all preseason
Oh god...I just had a horrifying thought. What if Rex Ryan gets fired by the Jets and immediately goes to join the EAGLES? Rex Ryan has Mark Sanchez' jersey (worn by his wife) tattooed on his body for christ's sake. Chip Kelly loves the style of defense Ryan runs but current defensive coordinator Billy Davis just ain't getting the job done.
I don't think he and Bill Belichick co-exist especially with Belichick being such a defensive oriented guy. Belichick doesn't really like his coaches to say anything to the press or end up in the papers for any reason, either. I think Rex Ryan in charge of Chip Kelly's defense would be horrifying but mostly to teams in the NFC East and in the NFC in general.
Exactly why I wouldn't call it horrifying to us. Or maybe it will be... maybe in a few seasons we'll develop a playoff rivalry with the Eagles, if you know what I mean.
Hah, well I'm speaking more as an NFL fan than a Dolphins fan. However you're right as a Dolphins fan developing a rivalry with a Kelly/Ryan led Eagles would be positively delightful.
Steelers have Shaun Suisham. He only made 30 of 32 last season. 28 of 31 the year before. You think we could trade both Sturgis and Potter for him?
Matt Flynn back in GB; the circle of life. I wonder what that little tour of the West Coast netted him?
Looking at the Pats, we will have trouble running against them, but their weakness in the passing seems to be our strength: quick, intermediate passes. Honestly, with Revis and Browner, I think you defeat them with strength in numbers, and we just happen to have the best 3rd/4th WR duo in football. On the other side, Brady is really good. I don't buy this declining mumbo jumbo. The difference between good and great players is that great players do the easy thing right everytime. Any good player can complete a miracle play once or twice a game, but it's executing the simple things that you have to do a hundred times a game that will separate you. Brady is definitely still doing it, and I'm starting see it in Tannehill.
GB and Raiders dress rehearsal.. We play them both. GB looks as strong as ever. Eddie Lacey is a machine and Aaron Rodgers is back in his old form. MJD had a nice first set for the Raiders then they sat him. Stopping the run is going to be crucial against both teams but the Raiders seemed to fizzle just as fast as they started. Not too worried about them but for GB we need to play our best and then some as expected.
Seahawks and Packers should be the NFC favorites this year imo. Head-and-shoulders above the rest of that conference, imo, those two teams are really freaking good. They both dominated yesterday, straight-up. So much talent and great coaching. I kinda like Philly or Washington's chances in the NFC just because their offenses have the potential to be awesome and balanced because they both run the ball so well. If their defenses pick up their game just a little one of those teams could make a run imo. Stafford and Caldwell keep me from getting on the Lions bandwagon as serious contenders, but they'll put up huge numbers and have the occasional great performance. Like I've been saying...this Patriots defense is gonna win them some games this year. They were lockin things down last night. Not gonna be Seattle-level or anything, but it'll be the best D they've had in a very long time. (But I just gotta say...****ing hate Julian Edelman...)
If we don't pick Schaub off at least once and get at least two sacks I'm going to be extremely disappointed.
The Raiders defensive front looked pretty formidable but it's tough to stop the Packers when Aaron Rodgers is going with those receivers.
I don't think k the Eagles are going to get to the final four until they replace Billy Davis at defensive coordinator. Also the Saints are never a team you want to sleep on in the NFC. Now the defense has Jairus Byrd which is perfect for them because the offense is such a machine what they want on defense is turnovers and aggressive stops that produce short possessions which allows the offense to pile on points in bunches, in turn getting the opposing team out of their game plan.
I've got that feed as well. Can't stand Barber as an announcer. Hoping for the phins announcers for our game
I've got gamepass (I'm outside the US), so I'm guessing they use the same feed for all the official online feeds. Was hoping it was always home team, but now I'm thinking we'll be stuck with the Dallas crew
