Exactly why is it good news that Ryan is having a bad game today. It still doesn't make up for the fact Ryan is a far better NFL QB than Tannehill. I would take Ryan as the QB of the Dolphins right now and feel much better about this team than I do with Tannehill as its QB.

No, Manuel played like crap also. Missed tons of open receivers. But he had time to throw and his defense and special teams controlled the game so he didn't have to.

trying to be more funny than anything else. Really dont see a lot of positives today. Hopefully it's an anomaly - but I dont quite have faith that it is. I really dont like Philbin and he hasnt done anything to make me change my mind about him. His team plays like his personality. Empty and emotionless.

Who needs Matt Ryan? Jake Long will anchor this line for ten years... I always wonder why this team has been so snakebitten. Hopefully we'll be able to chalk this one up to a super emotional Buffalo team and crowd and things will look up as the season goes on.

He played mediocre, certainly not terrible as some people are suggesting. That's fine, you draft a QB next draft for competition. I don't understand why people are piling on here like he played like John Beck.

The team lost as a whole today, coaching very much included.

Just stop it. Tannehill sucked. He wasn't the only one, but he sucked. Stop trying to deny what anyone can see.

What are you talking about? I've been a fan of Tannehill's, hell I worked his name into the name of my fantasy football team the past two seasons but I can't watch these past two games and say I liked what I'm seeing from him or that it's everybody else's fault. Every QB deals with dropped passes. I've taken tons of heat in the past for putting more blame on Wallace than Tannehill for their failure to connect last season. As of right now Wallace is winning me over and Tannehill is losing me. It's just reality. This is his make or break season. So far guess which is happening?

Look, I know the pro Tannehill crowd thinks I hate him. They couldn't be more wrong. I try to objectively evaluate him as I do the rest of the team. Honestly, right now tannehill is a journeyman QB IMO. I hope he turns the corner and becomes a franchise QB but right now I just don't see it. He is entirely to inaccurate to be a franchise QB. He also does a horrible job of sensing pressure in the pocket and looking off defenders.

having said that, our skill position players have been just as bad. Hartline dropped at least two balls today. Miller dropped a sure first down... I believe cc had another drop...last week there were several drops as well.

i don't really want to get into Philbin right now but I really feel the same way about him as I do Tannehill... He is just average.

i am not part of the tannehill/dolphins suck crowd but I firmly believe we are an average team. We will end up in the 7-9 to 9-7 range.

Still not answering the question. I already stated that the bills defense and special teams dominated this game. What did Manuel do besides not giving the game back to miami? One offensive (questionable at best, Watkins fumbled) touchdown. GAME MANAGER.

Agreed possibly three sacks on tanny, definitely poor throws have occurred. Now watch another game and watch how the "supporting cast" win games for qb's having a poor day/game or two.
Fact lets watch a re-run of what must be the best qb in the league EJ Manual with his perfext throws, in all games. Point taken hopefully.

As a ex professional sportman myself albeit 15 years ago you are not the be all and end all in a team sport especially the NFL.

Its a sport that we all adore, but it is a sport and the people playing are humans who make mistakes as you will do this week in your profession. Also part of sport is being able to handle defeat and handle it gracefully. Reason being you can be a decent person/human if you expect life to be easy and win in every walk of life.

Tannehill is the best option by a country mile at this particular junction in Dolphins football.

I'm sure they will have him rated one of the top QB's this week and all the Tannehill fans will look at this rating to show that Tannehill really isn't as average as we know he really is.

Glad I didn't watch this garbage. Thought about going to a bar and watching it, but stayed home & ended up watching the Cleveland/Saints game (which was full of offense and more than entertaining).

Moreno is the only guy on this team with any nuts. If he's going to be out for a while, we are in trouble. He was the leader of this team and was the main reason why we won last week. Sounds like the coaches looked like shyt too today. 10 points is just pathetic. Maybe we'll luck up and win next week.

Offense: Lazor ruined us today. yes we have limitations at QB but his gameplan and playcalling were awful.

Special Teams: What a disaster, a bunch of young guys making mistakes.

We lost in those phases of the game.

Defense: Played well, well enough to win. They were out there all day.

Good news is we improved, we scored 10 more points than last year :-).

Hickey: Screwed us up. Should have drafted Benjamin in round one, and Hyde in round two. Instead he drafted a RT in round one. Then moved down in round two to be able to move up in round three. Those are the kinds of mistakes that keep a team struggling for answers.
I said this before and during the draft, this was not the draft to draft a RT high. It rarely is.
Then he got rid of Damian Williams and Jones (ST) for some guy Seamster and and some guy Ross.
    Hickey doesn't get it yet.

Tannehill: It is what it is. He can't play, but he can do some things. Better get him weapons and limit him to doing that which he can.

Moreno: I hope it's a week or two thing, no more than that. We will need him to be able to have a chance to finish the season strong.

Leadership is not an issue. General direction is not an issue. Today it was Lazor, and he will be again because of the inexperience or arrogance, but most of the time it will be talent.

I agree Manuel didn't do anything more than manage the game today, but Tannehill couldn't even do that.

Like it or not, Manuel, who is a below average NFL QB right now, played better than Tannehill today.

While agree he is the best option. You still want to at least see progression with Tannehill. Whether his supporting cast is getting better around him or not, you can still evaluate a guy on his individual performance. And in that snes I don't see any improvement. Believe me I desperately want Tannehill to be the guy, but supporting cast or not I think his play has been worse. Does he get too much blame? Sure, but that's the nature of being a qb in the nfl. If he were to be an all pro and win championships he would also (undeservedly) be given credit to almost all of that success.

I wasn't saying Tannehill was the better qb by any means. I was just pointing out the fact that Manuel wasn't the reason why the bills won this game. And he did more not to lose it than win it. But trying to talk sense with trolls is my fault.

As a RT backer I'll admit he was awful today. I mean so bad. Terrible. But so was everyone. Hartline. Miller. Wake. Defense. Coaching. Landry. Blocking. Terrible all around. Everyone.

That's the problem with Tannehill. His pocket awareness and his accuracy have not improved at all since year one. He also has continued to show, game after game that he just can't throw a decent deep pass.

Maybe he can improve over the next 14 games, but if he doesn't, the Dolphins need to do whatever is necessary to try and draft one of the top QB's coming out in the 2015 draft.

He threw a more than decent deep pass this game to Hartline.

And his accuracy was worse as a rookie than this year. To say he is the same is not improved simply untrue.
