He's not eligible for the PS, is he? He has an accrued season already. Also, he was active in more than 9 games.

Thanks for the link. It's just odd, because every link I have read on PS eligibility seems to indicate that James is not eligible. Here's one: http://www.cincyjungle.com/2014/8/3...-squad-eligibility-salary-rules-size-and-more
Found the exception, for those interested. http://www.bigblueview.com/2014/8/3...size-eligibility-salary-ny-giants-2014-roster
They should move Darkwa to the PS and have him return kicks. Really like Landry, but he's costing us in the return game.
WTF is wrong with Seastrunk? Does be have gang ties or something? I don't get why he's not on someones PS.
That's my hope. Not opposed to him keeping the kick return gig and handing the punt return off to James if he gets on the roster.
I think Daniel Thomas got banged up on his first carry versus Oakland. You can see he got up awkward right after. It could possibly explain his janky running style later on. We know he's a tough guy, but Miami could be preparing for the worst case scenario.
I saw some things with Landry in his punt return technique and Im willing to bet money if you stick with him he will turn it around.. What he's doing in punt return is using his hands at times to catch the ball...you absolutely cannot just use your hands returning punts, he's so used to catching with his hands and they are so good, that he's doing it either consciously or subconsciously, the coaches need to see this on film and tell him about it..if he makes the adjustment and starts to cradle the ball correctly, he will be just as good as he is on kick return, he has traits of a very good returner, just be patient and hope the coaches see the mistake he's making on a few catches.
Hmm, that's something I didn't think about, he had a run that looked absolutely brutal, I literally laughed when he was in the open field he was labor ing so bad, I just thought he was out of shape or somethin.
Nope. Released. What do you expect from a guy who can't block, can't run the route tree and is generally useless outside of the odd big play.
IMO a necessary move to show Daniel Thomas not to get too comfortable and that he better continue showing 150% on the field.
It would be cool if he can be effective in the screen game. Maybe the team can run a really successful one sometime in this millennium.
It's a move that makes lots of sense. Position of need, familiarity with offense, guy was buried on the Niners depth chart. I like it.
I saw that too. Thomas came down funny when he got tackled on that first run. One leg forward and one leg back. He could have strained a glute or hip.
I think as soon as Moreno gets back... Thomas gets cut and James gets bumped up. James brings something different to the table, where as Thomas is pretty redundant...
Quick question for you guys.. To what do you attribute our running success the most..scheme..line..or backs. Its funny during preseason..we were all like..god we suck running the ball...after 4 games now..I feel pretty good that we are actually a good running team..its not a mirage
I'm going with scheme/playcalling and OLine. Still giving some credit to the backs, but i think last year they were not put in a position to succeed.
Seastrunk lasted one week on Carolina's practice squad. He was just signed to the Titan's practice squad today. The way he's jumping around the league as a rookie tells me there's something amiss with him. He's too talented a guy just to be moving around like that. Possible character issues? BTW... I'm all for the LaMichael James signing. Obviously, his success in Oregon in this offense makes him a perfect signing as a free agent. We're stacked at RB right now, but, I hope he gets a shot.
