rodgers hit 3 straight times coming off a fumble on 4th and 10 and we give them a timeout to change personnel and line up in the package they want....... what a ****ing joke man. Then we give them another timeout to script a play to win the game this coaching staff sucks.
What if the pass rushers were gassed? Sometimes the other team just beats you. I'm not saying the coaching staff is good, but, as fans, we don't even know why the timeouts were called.
The vaginal play calling when we had the ball took the cake to me... Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
Can understand that near the end zone, Phins were definitely gassed... On the ropes with a 4th and 10? Play through the pain.
Think about this too.. By the time they line up, you probably eat another 10 seconds of clock. How much time was left on the clock on the last play?
Rodgers was under siege and the whole team was scrambling on that fumble they didn't have enough time to get a real play in and we had all the momentum on our side. That was the equivalent of a NBA team going on a 12-0 run and calling their own timeout to break the flow.

Last year when we played the Panthers, there was a late 4th and 10, and Miami did not call a timeout to regroup and make sure the right defense was called and the Panthers converted, later scored the winning TD on the drive. Philbin was 2nd guessed for not calling a TO in that situation. So, I guess it stands to reason that when he does the opposite, that he'd still be 2nd guessed. Damned if he does, and damned if he doesn't.
I feel you. We're just missing most of the context for the timeout call for it to be the final straw, at least for me. I just watched a painful loss, yes, but it was also one of the best games of the year. I wasn't expecting the Dolphins to give the Packers such a fight.
Not even close to being the same scenario. The clock was stopped against Carolina. There was 14 seconds left on the playclock and GB wasn't ready but we let them regroup. If anything, your post just adds to the list of him being clueless. Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk
One could probably find a lot of "good" coaches calling timeouts in similar situations, also. People always look for one single reason for a loss, I guess, and "facing a first ballot HOF QB in his prime" isn't good enough, apparently. I saw a defense that was right there on a lot of plays. Sometimes they won; sometimes Rodgers won. That's about all we can expect, IMO. If I had to find a reason for the loss, 0 points off a blocked punt deep in GB territory is where I'd start. We just don't know enough about the timeout call to say one way or the other.
I'm not taking anything away from greenbay or rodgers they did what they had to do to win the game. As the opposing team you have to do everything you can to make it harder on them and on one of the biggest plays of that drive we made it easier on them.
This game was over when Jagtard called timeout before the last punt. That set the table for the rest of the game. You dont give a future hall of famer more time to think.
Ya. I think it's a little of this too. However, off the fumble I think the right call was to let the play go. Everyone was scrambling and at the very least, you allow time to go off the clock.
Rouk is right, it's the worst to ever, you don't do that at home when you have your opponent on the ropes.. You think Seattle would do that on fourth down to win the game with their 12 man energy behind them ..for one play we had that apex happening..it was stupid and I can't wait to hear the lame as excuse.and I hope our beat writers get in their ***.
He literally gave the game away with those timeouts. I wanted to throw something at my tv when he called that last one. I bet Mike McCarthy was on the Packers' sideline stunned that we actually allowed him time to draw up the perfect play to win the game. Philbin is reaching down to the Brady Hoke level of coaching. It's just unreal.
They were gassed. Nothing harder than rushing the passer. Wakes face was on the screen when we called timeout and he was spent. Yup.
