i'm listening to Camp Lo right now...any of you guys still pump that once in a while? Coolest cats on the planet...

 

I just heard Nas's new album. It's not bad. First single Hero is a pretty good production by Polow but jeez talk about being narcissistic. I'm not a huge fan of Nas's rhyming but hey I'm sick of all the bling bling-gang banging hip hop...We are way overdue for a fresh new wave of conscious hip hop. It seems to come in cycles anyway.

 

none of nas's song on untilted are "bling-gang baning hip hop"

and that hero beat is best in 08 easily so far

 

haha yeah it's just a screen name coz i couldn't think of anything creative. i'm a fan of luda's but i'm just saying, i'm sick of the hip hop out there and i think it has to go back to it's roots to move forward. just an opinion.

 

that's what i'm saying; Nas's content is a lot different than the crap that's out there today.

Anybody got anything new? I gotta lay off the Wayne album for a while.

 

Want to get into some good underground? Try out Immortal Technique, Atmosphere, CunninLynguists, Aesop Rock, Jedi Mind Tricks. Good stuff.

 

Yeah, I know about Immortal Technique. Sick minded guy. Love his lyrics. Are the others rappers as well? I only listen to Rap.

Yes, they are all Rappers. CunninLynguits are a trio. Yea, I know all of his songs(at least the ones released), I got both Revolutionary I and II, as well as his EPs. Dude is just sick on the mic.

 

BTW: If you want some good mainstream/underground check out anything from Wu Tang, their members, and their associates(Hell Razah, Killah Priest, Shabazz, Sunz of Man, GraveDiggaz ,Bronze Nazareth).

Timbaland is one of those producers thats cool for a song or 2 on an album. But by NO means the whole thing.

Rick Ross is one of the biggest underachievers in hiphop. Hes got a good voice for it and he'll have like 3-4 hot songs. But the rest of his albums are trash flow and poor beats and ****ty features.

I was so pumped for his first album and it was awful for the most part.

 

Not a huge fan of him but do like a few songs. I heard his latest album was hot as hell but I still haven't listened to it LOL. Is it called Trilla? I've only heard one song and it was the one with Nelly that keeps appearing on TV. Frankly, I'm not a fan of it.

 

yea its called Trilla. def dont think its amazing. ok at the very best. the only song that was really hot was that "The Boss" prob the only thing I'd ever listen to with Tpain in it. Beat was crazy.

 

True. My cousin said he liked it a lot but then again, he hated the C3.

 

Yea the rest of the summer isnt lookin too hot imo. I got bored of everything and went back to American Gangster for the car.

Its all heresay from what Ive read. Hes never even commented on working on one. It only gets press through other people saying hes making one. Didnt think he had a date or anything yet.

 

Ooo dang. I heard that it was suppose to drop this summer but it got pushed back.

O yea I also heard that theres a rumor going around about Game joining the Westside Connection. Ice Cube is pissy with Mack 10 again so the word is their gonna replace him with Game. We'll see.
